I don't necessarily think they're showcasing him there, though. I think it was almost out of necessity at first.

If the Sabres could get away with going Eichel, Reinhart, and Cozens down the middle 1, 2, and 3, this team could make some noise next year. Move Reinhart back up to Eichel's wing in scenarios where you really need a goal.

Jack Edwards and his clown cohort (forgot his name) would like nothing better that to use the Sabres as their doormat en route to the NHL playoffs
- Michael Pachla

Yup, and that is fine too.

Maybe Sabres players could set the stage by playing team tough and giving more than they receive. For a last place team now, finishing 31st or 27th only goes to f-up the draft selection.

That said, and to be crystal clear let's not confuse losing with not competing hard.

They've got to address the wings, though, imo.

They cannot beat the Bruins (or nearly every other team in the league) without competing hard. Non-issue.

Mitts moving to wing will help. However yes we would have to add one if not two bonafide top 6 wingers.

I think the Bills should trade their first for a 1st next year. Depending on the team, they could go from 30 to 15. Kinda like buying a bond

If the Pats wanted to move up using our first, take theirs next year

if they pick 5-7 find a way to turn the combination of that pick and ristolainen into a top 6 winger
- robz228

I dont even think they need to include Risto in that Deal.

Vegas Marchessault
STL Taresenko
Tampa Kucherov. Stamkos

Just names or ideas. Not sure if realistic, but that is who i would be targeting.
Obviusoly some names would need a + with it

That same methodology is how the Seahawks acquired the pick to select Earl Thomas.

Traded a 2nd rounder for a 1st round pick the following year.

If they're gonna do it anyway, may as well be us profiting.

What do we get? First and a 3rd? First is probably 10-20

The difference between Eichel 1C and Reinhart at 1C is Cozens at 2C vs Girgensons at 2C.

Interesting that cozensons and girgensons are rated similarly in your post.

Love #24's game.
