Honestly this is the best thing that could happen. If the organization thought they were close and could just roll it back next year they were going to waste another year or development. Changes are needed around the core of this team

Ugh as usual in the end we get an embarrassing result, I know there’s 7 rookies in the lineup but to be the team the Isles clinch on is just the annual icing on the cake, this has to be the last disappointing season, no more excuses or chances, they either make a real push forward next season or it’ll never happen

Outside of beating up on the devils, flyers and Sabres they were pretty disappointing this season. I really don’t know what to think for the future. They can’t just roll back this lineup next year
