Hey man, I try to be a good human, but I'm torn. I think the last minute forfeit has merit, but would bring too many negative viewpoints. I'd also love to see this kid come up and go toe to toe with the bumhole. But, another part of me would love to see them go out and do it. Target their stars and tell them to thank Tom for it. F U Wilson and serve notice across the league that we're willing to do it. - Tonybere
If they did forfeit it would be a brilliant decision. Put pressure immediately on the NHL to address it and do it soon. I’m sure they’re are speaking for the whole league, but they’re the only ones with the balls to do it
The fact that they don’t use every single career suspension when giving a new one is probably the dumbest decision this league has ever made. Other than lockouts lol that is the crux of the problem. That needs to change like yesterday. Bad bad bad |

Lol no it doesn’t. This isn’t about the rangers, it’s about the other 31 teams that have to face this lunatic on yearly basis.
He’s going to kill someone out there, it’s only a matter of time |

Ok so how about every shift, every team whacks him in the ankles until he can’t skate anymore. |

Alright then the whole game is a penalty kill and they’ll lose by like 15 goals lol
What’s gonna probably happen is hopefully Geertsen gets the call, fights him at least once. Then chase him all game maybe a head shot at some point |

The more I look at that take down the more egregious it gets. He almost takes his helmet off on purpose, making it premeditated. It was about 1 second from the time it comes off, til the time of the hair pull. All because he jumped on his back because he was busy cheap shotting Buch. This is almost assault on Panarin.

There are no good humans, we are a plague. Nice sentiment though.
Obviously this game has the league on edge. Could erupt on the opening faceoff, or just be a whimper with Smith or whoever dropping the gloves and getting it over with.
Personally I would like them to finish their checks HARD on guys like Oshie, Backstrom, etc and even take a few penalties to send the message. |

I've been on here all day looking for Wilson's blood, but he had every right to go after Panarin since he jumped on his back. Not defending Wilson in any way, he definitely took it too far. Wilson is a (frank)ing Ox, he stood up with Panarin hanging off his back like he was wearing a backpack. Problem is, he doesn't have an off switch, and he was being attacked from all sides so he let loose. Guy is clearly going to seriously injure someone, hope it wasn't Panarin. That was close to being the end. |

Panarin jumped on his back because he was punching Strome who was back flat on the ice. Is Panarin supposed to not do anything and just let him keep hitting Strome? |

The whole problem with this piece of poop is that his past doesn’t come into play anymore. Everyone knows who he is, what he is and what he’s about. The shame of it all is he’s a great player if he didn’t commit attempted murder on every shift. This isnt this one incident with me I can tell ya that. The Carlo one sent me into a tizzy also haha |

Bread certainly did the right thing in trying to get that POS off of Strome who saved Buch. I'm saying that the guy is an animal who was being attacked and was probably seeing red and we're lucky Panarin wasn't (hopefully) seriously injured or killed. I certainly wasn't trying to justify what Wilson did. He is a predator always looking to injure a player. If only we could get Reaves here for tomorrow night. He's probably one of the only guys in the league he's scared of. I really hope they bring that kid up and he takes a run at Backstrom or Oshie or whoever. |

Dude, this has been eating at me all day. He is a super talented player that doesn't need to pull this crap anymore, but clearly enjoys it. He's a predator, plain and simple. Told my wife about it this morning, then showed her the video tonight and even she couldn't understand how he got away with what he did to Buch, nevermind Bread. |

You got rid of the only 2 players with spines, DeAngelo and Lemieux. You're in a Division with Bos, Isles and Caps, what did you expect to happen ? |

Ass Clowns Stop it, The Rangers arent going to forfeit the game, Im sure that thought never crossed their minds. This isnt the first time a player that people thought should have been suspended but wasnt.
No No No the Rangers arent going to trade for Lucic. |

Somewhere in a Hotel Suite in Manhattan, Tom Wilson is up having his regular bowl of Captain Crunch and grapefruit. He walks to the mirror to flex for the Garden Crowd. Feed me Geertsen you ......... |

Agreed. I can't see this even being discussed.
My bet is the Rangers go out there and play the same way they have been playing. There may be some scrums, but I doubt we will see the fireworks of old time hockey of yester-years. Sadly it's the way it is now a days. Yes the Rangers are soft, but the NHL as castrated the toughness of the NHL for decades now. |

I would love to see the Rangers run Wilson along with anyone else on that scum bag of a team. If there’s any team that has it coming to them it would be the Caps. With that said I expect to see someone challenge Wilson to a fight. The two players have a staged wrestling match at center ice. One of them will fall on top of the other one while 1500 fans cheer. Then nothing because that is today’s NHL. |

it's unbelievable the lack of concern that the league has show for one of it's star players after his head hit the ice
it just goes to prove this league doesn't actually care about head injuries, they just care about covering their asses over potential future concussion lawsuits and want to be able to point out that they took steps to help the situation
but they definitely don't care about head injuries, lets be real |

I am not surprised. Look at their history of how they dolled out suspension inconsistently and playing favorites with rule bending. Also, the rule changes that they "campaign" to help concussions and protective equipment, yadda yadda BULLpoop.
As soon as they gutted the league from player policing, read 1996 instigator rule, and failed to enforce flagrant fouls on ice with real rules, the cheap shots got worse.
The agitator era was fun, but a by product of the NHL trying to phase out fighting. But after the agitators were phase out, you get cheap shot artists like Wilson, Marchand and even slew footing Malkin type players running rampant with no consequence.
SO no, I am not surprised and the NHL bread this type of player. |
