i can't even imagine what is going on inside the minds of the rangers players right now. No one on the current available roster is equipped to handle Wilson and the hype train is going so fast it's going to come off the tracks. Very weird situation

I am willing to guess Buch is thinking about magnets, Kreider not much, and Zib the next song he is going to release

I am trying not to get excited for this game, cause we all know its going to be a huge let down

This.

I am tempering all thoughts. Sad really that we have to.

It's the softest era of the NHL to date. It's embarrassing really that the Rangers are this soft. They have always had at least 1-2 guys that would take care of business.

What would DeAngelo do in this case?

Lemieux I am torn about but he was pretty much trash too.

I don't really have a problem with them having gotten soft. If the league has gotten "soft" over the years, then how is it that bad? We shouldn't design the team to deal with a once in a decade sort of scenario.

you know what's crazy, the game the other night, because we are out of it I was watching without my usual intensity, was feeling a little giddy about the Lareniere-Kakko goal and then when this happened I just felt my whole face turn to stone, easily as angry as I have ever been hockey related

And the fact is that he requested the trade. They didn't dump him.

if Lemieux was dressed for the game I am sure he would have fought him in 3rd period

but, cant ignore the fact that he asked to be traded

100% would’ve stood up for his team. Not saying he would’ve won, but it would’ve been the response everyone on here is complaining about.

Dunno. It's still hockey. Still need toughness. I am not saying not to adapt, cause you need to. But teams still need leaders in the tough, hard nosed category that will go out and make the big hit and get into poop when the team is flat. And most of all can send a message that this team is not to be pushed around.

DeAngelo wasn't afraid to drop them with anyone. Fought Wayne Simmons, tried to fight Ross Johnson before the refs got in the way. He at least had balls, something that is missing from the current roster make up.

Yeah, that's why the Canes went and got Paquette.

They aren't gonna score much, but a 4th line of McGinn-Paquette-Martinook can go out there and hammer away at an opponent to wake your guys up. And they're not complete meatheads so you can give them a regular shift and not get completely buried.

I think Trouba, Kreider or Lindgren would have done anything Tony D would have done too

this just so happened to occur when all these guys were hurt

the whole "Tony D would have stood up for his teammates" thing when he fought his own teammate is a little tough to take

Are you gonna continue to forget that Lemieux asked for the trade?
