This has 10 years bad karma written all over it. Went from a classy org, rebuilding from the ground-up the right way to a complete joke in 2 days.

No need to blow this up. Needed 2 moves this off-season. A center, and a depth D. Add a goon to dress exclusively against the Caps/Bruins. Have to pray Drury is the real deal and not a puppet. Haven’t felt this hopeless about the team in 15 years. Please know what you’re doing.

So this is a big enough story I had to pretend I'm on break at work and write a couple sentences. I don't agree with the decision. However, at some point, as Parcells would say, you are what your record is. Shocked to see JD go, but Gorton has had a franchise that hasn't made the playoffs, but once in 5 seasons. I agree they should have been given the time given the rebuild, but this is NY. No one gets time here.

I think he's gone. He won't be the new managements' guy. Again not that I agree with that either, but new regimes typically bring their own people in.

Rangers were in good hands with Davidson and Gorton. I think Drury would have eventually taken over at some point but this absolutely makes zero sense. Idgaf what’s going on behind the scenes this was a rash move and one that will resonate for a long time. This franchise has been ran very soundly since 2005. We have had some bad moments but the majority of the time the direction of this team has been trending up even when we need to stop and start over. Hardest thing to do is admit that. Dolan shame on you if there is some personal matter here and nothing to do with how this team has been ran the last 2 season which haven’t been normal!! This just give me a horrible taste in my mouth.

im just stunned at JD, like i really can't believe it.

They were always very high on Drury so i get it. some point he'd have to take over for gorton like gorton did himself.

honestly i have a ton of faith in drury, so im excited to see what he can do but JD going is stunning. i hate that.

absolutely, but it just proved that they were thinking about it, it's why JD was so happy to get Schneider at the draft, he spells out the reasons pretty clearly
