Nice write-up Jeremy, I am enjoying the goalie battles as of late. Fortunately the outcome in this one was on the right side.

I don’t think we’ve seen anything like this in years. Dom and Ozzy had some fantastic back and forth wins. Greiss and Bernier, man they have been a huge blessing for this team. Let the guys stay in games way past what happened last year. Somewhere a cheapskate GM is kicking themselves for not paying Yzerman what he wanted at the deadline

Was a really good game. I’m surprised that it went to a SO, being honest. If that were any other TB team, it would’ve been 6-0, easily.

As much as we complain about the keepers, they’ve played exceptionally well…all things considered. These 2 ain’t no Manny Legace, let me tell ya. Greiss could’ve easily banked 15-20 Ws this year on other teams they way he’s played, same with Bernie.

Vrana….ok, starting to warm up to the guy. Has a long way to go to being a complete 2-way player, but Mantha wasn’t the best, either. The thing w/Mantha was his size & physicality. Still think we need some physical guys to off-set the cheap crap (some of which we saw in the game….).

On the road to MO today, will miss the game, but recording it. Maybe able to listen as I drive from St. Louis to the hinter-lands.

Well played, lads.

It was incredible to watch Greiss. Our goalies have given way more opportunity to stay in games than could be expected at times. Huge upgrade this year.

Vrana has speed and can finish on a breakaway/shootout better than anyone on the roster. If they can get him on the PK, he could be a fantastic short handed threat and round that out. Totally different player than Mantha for sure.

Any chance we bring Smith back into the lineup after they went after Vrana yesterday? Not so sure I want Ganger defending him.

Gerges said Greiss was an awesome get; he was correct. If he had more run support…he’s legit, dude. We have him for another year, so it’ll be interesting to see how he fares once the roster is revamped. We really need some G life-blood to fill the gap until Fulcher or The Gas-Man (PETRO-zulli…see what I did there?!?!?) hit the NHL.

Vrana’s skill set is awesome, but his defensive liabilities will kill us. We don’t need players who can’t back/fore-check. Our D is a sieve. If he can polish himself like Zads has done….dude. Seriously. They’re country-men, so they could definitely learn from each other.

The off-season’s going to be exciting to watch; lots of cap space & open contract spots open….

Good call. I see today being much more physical than yesterday. We’ll need his grit!

Greiss played lights out and deserved the win. Bolts offense is snake-bitten without Stamkos and Kucherov. The Bolts excellent middle-six is now drawing top shutdown competition and they aren't handling it very well. Without the "pick your poison" lineup of Stamkos and Kucherov riding on the top two lines, the opposition is finding it easier to stifle the Bolts offense.

I watched the high(low)lights of the shootout, and it was nice to see geezer Filppula pot that nifty backhand. Crazy to think he was on the ice with Yzerman and he's still out there contributing.

Smith should have never been taken off the roster to begin with. This team has nobody to deal with cheapshots and other teams know it and take advantage of it with cheapshots and roughing up players. Bring up McIlrath too and send down Biega...hell if you don't want to play McIlrath on defense then put him at forward on the 4th line and let him and Smith lay some hits on the other teams and if need be punch some people in the face if they step out of line.

No reason for a bottom feeder team not to have some toughness to protect what little talent they have left that isn't already injured.
