This game was kind of depressing. Solid effort over three periods. You can say the Pens didn't play all that great and they didn't, but a huge part of that was because of the way the Flyers played.

Yea you cant put too much stock into this season. Too much weirdness. Honestly just dont think this roster was built to handle such a condensed schedule especially when you have 2 guys that didnt play most of last season or at all. You saw it with a lot of the young guys, their play dropped off considerably as the season went on.

Should point out all the teams that had COVID breakouts in the division had rough seasons. Buffalo and NJ got hit hard, Rangers got hit to start the season and it took them a long time to get to where they are. These teams had to make up a lot of games and fast.

Boston had a little bit of a break but I believe they only had 2 games PPD.

Living in the the present...I’ve been smiling so much my face is going to hurt tomorrow.

What a game! Scored more than 3 goals, scored first, kept the opponent to under 3 goals, balanced lineup....

I have a hard time understanding the reluctance to wear a mask. If you don't want to wear one because someone demands it, simply do it because it definitely reduces the virus's ability to spread to another person. It certainly cannot hurt in any way. The cherry on top is that it also helps reduce cold and flu transmission...these may not kill most people but they sure make you feel like crap. Its not a political statement, its good citizenship

Fake news... who cares about ppg? When did those points come? And sure if you want to say things like well defensively than sure coots ranks much higher than mcdavid. Would you take coots over mcdavid? It’s an overall all together comparison. Surely it’s been established and undeniable coots is extremely good defensively. It’s the offensive as far as clutch. And for the record personally I believe it was major political move the mask mandates. But they do help overall. I personally changed very little as far as going out this whole time. I’ve travelled (did not fly) went to restaurants casinos stores as I normally would. poop I just got back a few days ago from weekend trip to philly. No problem wearing mask at any of those places using hand sanitizer in and out of locations. Funny thing. Even though I changed very very little overall in last year outside of mask and sanitizer hmmmm I haven’t gotten sick since December 2019. No colds no nothing. Usually have 2 sometimes 3 bouts with the common cold. Lasting from 3-4 days to 2weeks. Funny how the flu season stats were way down.

You aren’t completely wrong. I still think your largest issue is the mix of players. That being said, they definitely don’t get up for other teams like they consistently do for the pens, and they don’t have the talent to not bring it heavily the majority of nights and come out on top. Playing the pens basically is the flyers playoffs in their minds.

If anything this helped people be more aware to keep their hands away from their faces and to keep their hands clean.
Actually cleaning things such as door handles etc help.
I haven’t been sick in a long time and I’m not what I would call young.
I don’t get a flu shot and somehow I don’t get the flu.
Just about everything the government said we should do was wrong.
Yet let’s keep doing things that don’t work just to make people feel better.
