Should the Rangers just cower in the corner, sucking their thumbs?

He's one man (well, not really a man).

Maybe you show the bear you are not affraid, but do you really poke the bear's goaltender?

You have to dress someone to deal with wilson.

If Adams is a good GM. So far, you could argue he's been worse than Ralph.
- Lunaion

To be fair, we don't know what moves were Ralph and what moves were Adams.

If he completely bungles Ullmark and Reinhart this summer then he's a bad GM. We'll see. Maybe he is

Again, he's one man. He's not a bear. He's not Godzilla. He can't be on the ice 60 minutes. Play hard, finish your checks, get your sticks and gloves up, take some shots and pick a few spots. He's not (frank)ing Tony Twist.

I do think you need someone that knows the game. But not someone who perpetrated the crap you want out of the game. A patty la, savard, Conley, would be a better fit. If angling for more impartial, they need to at least know something about hockey. This simply makes the nhl look like a joke.
- Gr8daygo

I thought you brought up patty lala ect. Good point:
It's a more compassionate approach, the victim handling the justice .

I'd say someone neutral, slight knowledge of the game.

Someone who can judge the violation and give proper and consistent punishment.

Its really more like professional wrestling....

What constitutes as a "bungle"?

If Reinhart wants $9 million or Ullmark wants north of five, what's he supposed to do in your eyes?

A bungle is either a 1 year deal, or an 8 year $72m deal

That's peak bungle

Well, Rhino isn't taking a 2 year deal. It's either going to be long term or a one year to get him to UFA status.

And can't HE elect arbitration? That takes everything out of Adams' hands.

Reinhart has all of the bargaining power.

If he doesn’t like what the Sabres are offering, he just takes his one year arbitration like you just mentioned and walks right to UFA

If I'm the gm (and there are far smarter men in that room than I), I'd either try for 5-6 years and leave him at C, or try to trade him.

If Reinhart only wants a 1 year deal or 8 years above a max of say $7.5, then Adams has to make the tough decision and move him while Reinhart has huge value.

And I'm a big Reinhart fan. But they're in tough, so if Reinhart plays hardball (as is his right), then they have to get out while the getting is good

Rangers are young and skilled with high end talent.
Similar to our hometown team -

Who's finishing checks, picking spots on our roster?

Same thing the Bruins did to the Sabres.

So we need a Canadian professional wrestler... maybe someone from the Hart foundation?

I’m in that same boat.

I’d go 7x7.

If that isn’t enough then you have to trade him. We can’t lose an asset for nothing

At the end of the day, the moves were KA's. He bungled Ullmark and Sam (+Montour) last summer, and put himself in a terrible spot. I'd put odds on him overpaying them both now.

I really want to see him move on from GMTM's core guys and build his own team. JB never did.

What's been KA's best move so far? Tage's extension?

Play out of character. 16 teams full of young, high end skill guys do it, starting every April.

The Rangers have a huge team. Not many small guys in that lineup.

Either they will, or they won't. We shall see.

If I'm on that team, I'm going out there hitting everything in a Capitals jersey.

Bjork is the play-driving winger that 23 really needs. They look great together.

He’s been great tonight, but he was invisible for about 10 straight before this.

Not sure how I feel about him
