Yeah. He should’ve done more the years he scored 37, 33 and 31 goals for a lot less than 9 mil.
Odd take - sbroads24
The team stunk for sure. He put up goals, but he was expected to be a bigger contributor all over the ice and he just... didn't?
Again, before he was traded, guys in the organization talked about him and how he just refused to fully buy in. How there always had to be a different set of rules for Jeff vs the rest of the team.
It was a problem, because here you have a guy who was a star rookie, who was told he was going to be the face of the franchise (and was in a lot of ways) that never got held accountable and never had to play in a system. He didn't respond to being benched. If you dumped him on a lower line he just stopped trying.
And the rest of the team sat and watched it and it affected them too, because that guy was supposed to be the next star. He was supposed to be a leader on the team, and he just wasn't.

Just pointing out that you’re again admitting to “stir the pot”
Maybe you’ll remember this the next time u accuse me of doing such - jdfitz77
You are like a hyena, waiting until the superior cheetah has made it's kill, then you move in howling and laughing like a lunatic and in large numbers for you are legion and you are one, surrounding in your deafening roar, here ye, hear all, for it is I, Fitz, and I have come to plunder - I shall rape the land a pillage the women, build you shelter and steal your children, beholden, triumphant and exuberated masses rejoice, for it is I, Fitz, and I am the light.

Yeah...???
At least I’m not so pathetic that i have to pay to be here
Now that’s some desperation you’d only see from a true loser
I think what really bums me out is how much better the Samson line looked with a play-driving winger (Bjork). Skinner is a guy who picks up lost change in the slot. - Slump Buster
So it’s finding the right combination of players to maximize what skinner brings to the table?

While it’s a possibility, I don’t think that’s likely.
Carolina was a very good team that didn’t get saves the last two years before Skinner was dealt. They were better than most teams they played

All I've got to go on is what the people around the team were saying. It's why Jeff was traded. They thought it was important to move on from a team culture standpoint more than anything.

That’s different then saying he’s a detriment to the team, which is what you implied.
He was incredibly productive and one of the best 5v5 scorers in hockey in Carolina.
I severely doubt his attitude effected much for anyone on the ice at his production wsmas surely a plus
