IIRC the Tree was drafted later than he would normally have been because he was hesitant to come over. He got some pretty decent treatment by not having to go to the minors like many other young players. We gave him a decent shot and he came back with more demands. He clearly never wanted to be part of this organization and now his rights are worth nothing. What a waste trying to coddle this kid.

I'm not going to diminish the kids skills. There were some really good tools there had he just been open to following the correct development path while he was here. He just put himself ahead of it.

If Benning had interest at TDL from Arizona, he should have pounced on a trade knowing what his restraints this off season would be with petey, Hughes, lind, juolevi all needing contracts.

Im glad Benning was smart enough not to trade him to a Pacific division team for a 7th round pick. Guys a monster. Look what Matheson did to Petey. What do you think Tryamkin would do to the Van players.

Why would you want to play against him 6 or so times a year for a 7th round pick.

Canucks 1st pick in the 2020 draft D Joni Jurmo has signed in Finland for 2 more years. Agent Juha Ylonen : Joni is not ready yet, he needs 2 more years of development. The Canucks are on board with this decision

Wasn't happy about this 3rd round pick but he did move up a tier to Finland 2nd division and play well. Even if that league is probably equal to playing in the QMJHL.
