Everyone but Northy, he's too mentally fragile to be here. Everyone has to tip-toe around him because he is an emotional mess at the nearest hint of violence.

Hugs not fists! This should be a safe place for all posters
This turn the other cheek mentality seems to stretch from ownership, players and down to the fanbase. Is there a non contact pro hockey league? Canucks could really excel without meanies on the other teams

I believe women's hockey does not allow body checking nor do they allow fighting.

Thanks Vintage, well for the top post anyway.

Wonder if the non believers at Kits, English Bay, Second or third Beach are still gathering in large crowds?

I imagine the public shaming is enough to curb their enthusiasm.

You didn't look at his avatar while referencing Biden.

I honestly didn't, but I do know he supports Trump.

There is a lot to like about this team, the bottom six have completely changed with a few fast agitating players. I like the top six except Pearson who should be 3rd line, maybe even Hogs on the 3rd to develop a bit more.

I like both netminders, sure there are brain farts, but far more defensive zone breakdowns that put the goalie in poopty positions.

I think the systems are total crap, and I think that a new coach (not just a title, but a real experienced coach) and the team will be in the mix with Edmonton and Toronto.

I certainly believe that once the divisions go back to normal, Canucks would be near the top with Edmonton, but if Green is still here another bottom placing

In canuck news. Linus karlsson (who had a dominant year last year in the div 2 Swedish league) just signed a 2 year deal in the SHL. He becomes a UFA after his contract is up and can sign with any NHL team.

300%

Bottom 6 has been a mess for a while. None of our depth guys really seem to be able to step up for any amount of time.

Pretty much.

Did just read that there is an out clause where he can leave and sign with canucks at the end of 2nd year in SHL

that's what happens when you don't spend enough money on the bottom 6.

31 Thoughts:
I generally don’t get riled up about player-safety decisions, but I didn’t like this Tom Wilson ruling.

What it comes down to — for me — is that Wilson should know he can’t take free shots at Pavel Buchnevich and/or Artemi Panarin. They aren’t equipped to deal with him, and he should recognize there’s a limit. If he’s delivering a ferocious open-ice hit, or making some kind of tough “hockey play,” I am more understanding. But this was neither.

Some said that Panarin engaged Wilson, so he brought what happened on himself, but I’m not buying that.

For one thing, Panarin was defending Buchnevich and Ryan Strome. Second, there was a point where Wilson realized who he was tangling with and could have ended it. We’ve all seen fights where someone stops because their opponent is overmatched.

But Wilson didn’t end it, and Panarin got hurt. He won’t play the rest of this year, but it could have been much, much worse.

This team had worked out its early season issues pre-P1 and was on a run. The added recovery, missing of regulars like Petey and schedule hasn't been foisted on or experienced by any NHL team. The breakdowns from all this lead to losses. There is no coach who could do better.

That said heads will likely roll and everyone will then focus their displeasures on the replacements. The cycle continues. #Canucks

What's the over/under on injuries and suspensions in tomorrow night's rematch?

If players have to police the game themselves then all hell could break loose. As a franchise we know all about that. NHL is playing with fire... again. Idiots.

The team was terrible before they got sick, they’re terrible after. No excuses needed.
