It comes down to effort and concentration. You see a lot of playoff teams taking nights off.

The Habs scare me more than Winnipeg because the Leafs can be shut down by a discplined system and goaltending. Winnipeg has the goaltending (usually) but does not have the defense for that and they don't have the offense the Leafs have.

Look back at last summer vs Columbus, you will need that level of goaltending, and you will need the leafs goalies to give up bad goals. It is possible for the Habs to win a series against the Leafs, but pretty much everything would need to break your way.

Allen's been better all year. Not sure what Price has left in the tank.

When Price got injured, he was having an amazing month of march.

Guy always steps up in the playoffs, I would give him the net without hesitation. Allen is only insurance (he did great all year though).

I think Price heroics would be enough, but it would take some of his best work.

I really don't see the Leafs' Offense being stopped though. Too bad there'll be no crowds, but Leafs Habs series will be fun nonetheless.

What do you expect?

It's been 100 years, and they still can't develop a cooties vaccine.

When my daughter was in daycare, there were huge outbreaks.

And don't bother telling me your home remedies: wearing red, white and blue doesn't work. Crossing your fingers doesn't work.

I tend to agree.

The Leafs have played Winnipeg 9 times this year, and they have outplayed them 8 of those 9 times. Some times ridiculously so. While Winnipeg can play physical and they have some good guns up front, I think Toronto fares better against the Jets.

They have played the Habs 8 times, and probably deserve to be 5-3. I think the Leafs are a better team, but Montreal has a tougher back-end, and they have fast forwards who will cause problems for some of the slower D (Holl, Muzzin, and Bogo come to mind), or Anderson who is capable of being bullish and cause problems all on his own. If Price returns to form, he can steal a series. If he doesn't, Allen is more than capable of stabilizing the crease. If Gallagher is back and Weber is back, they are more rounded up front and in the back-end.

I fear the Leafs losing a heartbreaker early in the series, and then beating themselves with self-doubt.

I don't particularly. They've demonstrated stick-to-it-iveness and ability to make it to game 7 in past years when the chips are down and they've lost a heartbreaker or two.

The key is not to lose said heartbreaker and get out of the series in 6 or less though.
