hes a dynamite power forward. one of the premier blends of brute size/force with actual skill. I get playing on the edge. but hes into sickening levels to where i truly would love to see him get hurt and thats not something i really joke about.

that being said, the league truly doesnt care so why should he/the capitals? hes an absolute weapon on a team equipped to play that way that time and time again has been informed that there will be no repercussion for the actions. if anything it makes him even more valuable in a sickeningly pragmatic sense. i get that. matt cooke also wasnt half as good of a player, and call me biased if you want, but not as dirty on the potentially turning people into vegetables level. i get that players when polled will tell you they tend to value their knees over their heads/necks because their legs are their careers, but the things wilson does routinely are borderline absurd at this point.

1) I am far from a homer. I am plenty critical of the team (and organizational decisions I disagree with) when I need to be. I just don't dwell on the negative 24/7/365 and I try to keep it balanced. There are some who think that unless you go all negative, all the time, every day of every season, you're a "homer."

2) There's always a link to the Postgame 5 on the Flyers' official site, which goes into detail on every game. There wasn't much to add here on HB in terms of last night's game.

I know bill I’m just busting chops. By far, even tho this is a ridiculous site, your pregame and post game articles are far superior to anything that can be found in print on the web. And believe me I’ve checked as I’m an out of towner. It’s clear you tend to try and stay positive and optimistic which is good. Almost to a fault sometimes I think. His brother went undrafted and outplayed him regularly. They broke them up and Jackson stayed on the top line. He didn’t have Brinks season but maybe a senior year will make him better prepared.

With the inconsistent calls in games by the officials. With inconsistencies within Repercussions handed down by the league. With a schedule that has teams seeing each other two, three, sometimes four games in a row. The league is begging players to fight. The league is begging for players to police themselves. While we might love a Tom Wilson or Brad Marchand on our team, these guys are going to build heat, which will create revenge in a second or third meeting in a row.

Fighting and physical play isn’t dead and you’d be a fool to believe otherwise. Some of you don’t want Morin back, well the Flyers better find a suitable replacement to play in this division. They’ll always be a Tom Wilson or Brad Marchand in the league.
