Dolan could suck my balls

I don't care if Quinn stays or goes. My opinion is he has done a very good job.

For all the crap I gave Quinn I think he did a pretty decent job. He did the best he could with what he had and the situation of the was dealt.

I look at teams like the Oilers and Buffalo, teams you could kind of make a comparable, with youngsters, high draft picks, turnover of roster, Quinn has done way better.

Probably not, but Im so fking pissed that this what theyre targeting. This kid takes one heavy check that snaps his neck and hes gonna be done for a while again.

If this is the move they want, if theyre willing to take on a 10m center, then fk it go for Barkov. It'll probably be expensive, we might have to trade a piece we wont want, but Id be willing to start a trade package with Miller, Chytil & Buchnevich for him.

Besides HockeyBUzz and Twitter, where are you reading/hearing that NYR is in on Eichel? Yes, NYR needs a center, but I don't see NYR trading for Eichel (10 mill per) to go along with panarin, Trouba, Zib (gonna be between 8-9 mill), Kreider's contracts. It's not happening

Any article written on Bleacher Report recently has Eichel as the headline trade piece.

Personally, Id rather they go for Hertl. Sharks fans themselves have said theyd take Chytil and a 1st for him, which wouldnt bother me one bit.

IDK...Do we really think the 1st thing Drury does is trade fro a 10mill per Center who just had neck surgery as his first act as GM?

Maybe he wants Danal to fire him?

well, one of Sather's first big acts when he took over was trading for Lindros

and since Drury is a center, I'm gonna guess he's a believer in getting that big center is the key to building a champion too

I can see him trading for Goodrow or something along those lines to add some grit. Having Zib, Strome, Goodrow, and ? at center is OK, especially if a few more gritty players are sprinkled in on wing. Maybe, Eichel talk would resume at next year's trade deadline.

not yet

it reminds me of it though, Lindros was unhappy in Philly coming off serious injury concerns

All true, but how does getting Eichel make it harder for opponents to play against the Rangers? Sure Eichel has good size, but he isn't an overly "physical" player and now that he is having neck surgery, I certainly don't expect that part of his game to change.

I don't see Eichel as a Rangers target at all anymore.

Heres my prediction, if Quinn stays, the Rangers make a run at Eichel for the BU reunion. If Quinn is fired, they will be targeting someone else.

no doubt in my mind Eichel is the target now

Strome can be moved in a separate deal to help that happen

- jimbro83

Eichel, Panarin, Trouba, and Zib with his 8-9 mill deal cant have 4 players taking up almost half of your Cap space.

First off what makes you think that Fla WANTS to trade Barkov?? To save money?? Buch is looking at a hefty raise, make close to 6 mil per, add in Chytl at almost 900k and Miller at almost 900k, Thats close to 8 mil per so they would be saving about 2 mil per but they lose out on the best player in the deal, a true number one center.

Fla isnt dealing Barkov.

Here is something to consider with Drury now in charge:

Drury has already stated that he is a believer in analytics. Kreider, even though he scored 20 goals this year, just had his WORST season ever according to the analytics crowd. I wonder if Kreider's spot on the team is in jeopardy.

Perhaps Drury sends him home to Boston?

Do they WANT to trade him? Of course not, but that wouldnt stop me from throwing something at them to make them at least think about it.

Secondly, Barkov is a UFA and pretty much controls his own destiny. Buch is a RFA and the team essentially controls his contract. Chytil, still a kid, talented, RFA and relatively cost controlled for the foreseeable future. Miller, a young future franchise LHD to pair with Ekblad, that like Chytil is an RFA and will be cost controlled for the foreseeable future. Its not like were talking about prospects here, its 3 legit NHL players. Id even throw a 1st round pick this year in it.

I get it, you get nauseous seeing me talk about going after Barkov and, honestly, Im not going to stop until whatever happens in the offseason happens.

Prior to all this poop going down last week, I was listening to NHL radio and it was mentioned that Seattle would love to be able to take Kreider and use him in a leadership roll. I do not know if this was just speculation or if there was some inside info coming out...His NMC was discussed as a hurdle.

My hunch is Landeskog will be a Ranger. He can definitely play center, he is 270-212 on faceoffs this year (56%) and he’s a leader. 28 yrs old. PPG ave. this year. You figure 7 yrs 8 mill could do it? Regardless, he’s cheaper than Eichel and won’t cost assets to get him

Why would the Avs be interesting in trading their captain? This is as much of a pipedream as my Barkov trade.

When he was getting drafted, every piece of me wanted the Rangers to do anything they could to draft him. I almost bought a Kitchener Rangers jersey just to atleast make it feel like he was a Ranger.
