No team in their right mind would take a cap dump with Jack
- Michael Pachla

It would be really hard for teams to find the Cap space

From LA. Turcotte, their 1st this year, kakiyev and brown

To LA: jack and Okposo.

Fair trade for both

- Fattony1187

Why even bother doing anything about Okposo if you’re trading Eichel? All you’re doing is lessening the return which wouldn’t make sense because we aren’t coming close to the cup with no Eichel in the next two years

Vegas can’t dress a full lineup because they can’t afford it.

This league is dumb.

They have to play with 15 skaters.

4 pieces for Jack including. 1st rounder and another draft pick + 2 players. That was what someone wrote a while ago and I think it still holds true

You will without skinner. That contract is so long it will haunt you when we are good. You purge now while you are prepared to hurt already
- Fattony1187

I’d rather have the extra pieces in an Eichel trade to actually help get us to being good....
then fast forward a few years & it’s easier to buy out Skinner or just Okposo him

10+ years of more good young players is worth it to have to deal with Skinner at a future date

If we are gonna rebuild the right way,
We need all the young talent we can gather
Jack is the #1 piece (by far) that can help us accomplish that

Your LA trade idea isn’t terrible,
but take out Okposo (who we can easily buy out) and add another 1st that can get us a Cozens-level (or better!) player

Well if Okposo is the Party Master that gets all the young guys wasted then ship his mashed potato head outta here.

I'd be happy with a Goalie, good young NHL player, and a good Dman for Eichel.

I’ve always been a Sam supporter,
but if we trade Eichel- idk that there’s much point to keeping Sam through even more losing

- jdfitz77

If Sam leaves?
I'll always be a fan of his, even against the Sabres.
He's never received the credit he's deserved in my opinion, especially from the majority of this fan base.

This summer will be interesting for sure.

Granato did a wonderful job with this group.
This team definitely played like a team and better after Ralph.
Did this group take advantage of Ralph's easy going nature?

Does this franchise dare go the route of a disciplinarian like Tortorella and forget about Granato?
Does this group need a disciplinarian that will hold each player accountable?

Tough decisions on the horizon.

I think we can bank on being a pretty big long shot to compete for a cup anytime soon without 23 or 9.

And I’m hopeful those end up being really good pieces- bc about half the league should be bidding on Jack

Only way I'd do it is to lose Skinner in the process and allow the Sabres a CTRL-ALT-DLT hard reset

If we are trading Jack (and others), then I’d be surprised if Torts or any other “good” coach would wanna come here

I’d go full rebuild & keep granato with the kids
It was at least watchable hockey when he took over....
& pretty much all the kids looked better- even Tage

If they're losing Eichel and Reinhart, I don't see them being competitive in the next 3 years, and if they're not competitive in the next 3 years, I don't want late-stage Jeff Skinner

I mean there's a better chance that is true, but we have to see what happens. Until there both gone we don't know. But it could make us a better overall team depending on the pieces brought back.

The absolute must in a trade is a prospect or player that has the capability of being this teams top scorer. Whether that’s Byfield, Lafreniere, Etc.

There’s no way they are taking a Erik Karlsson on an expiring deal type of return
