Nah the Sabres are just going to let Eichel sit.

Damned if he wants to be traded, damned how much it'll kill whatever reputation the Sabres have left. DAmned if it will affect attracting future free agents, damned it will have a negative impact on all the young players.

The Sabres arn't gona fold to little old Jack ECHL.

Sabres hold all the cards. They don't need to trade him if they don't want to.

My opinion is he should be traded. He is not the leader this team has hoped for and I feel he is always going to be disruptive.

i would hate it if they traded Jack but if they do it better be for a poop ton, I'm talking multiple #1 picks, top 2-3 NHL proven prospects, and maybe a goalie,

It’s going to be interesting to see how this saga unfolds. I don’t believe a medical grievance has been filed with the NHLPA, but I’m told Eichel’s agent, Peter Fish has been speaking with PA reps.

I always hate the thought that once a player asks for a trade ( not saying he has ) the team looses leverage. this is not true!!! the team can let that player sit out as long as it takes to get the return they feel is fair and equal. Of course teams will try and "win" a trade but there are plenty of teams with the capital to make fair/equal trades here that could end up helping both teams. Ottawa, Rangers, LA, Anaheim all come to mind.

the team that trades for the best player DOESN'T always win. the franchises that traded Gretzky and Lindros away both won the cup after where Gretz and Lindros never did.

who cares... Rhino is a RFA, Risto & Jack have signed contracts... Plus Risto has alluded to wanting out for years, guess what... Still here...

Sabres cant make a ROR blunder trade again... not with those three, I am not saying don't trade them, Just get everything you want in return for them. Not a box of 4th liners...

Eichel has what .... 4-5 years left? so he has term left. Its not like hes in his contract year.


Also, what player has held out in the NHL during their career and NOT contract money related. (Peca held out)

If Eichel goes to the Rangers I would expect two of their top five young players (LaFreniere, Kakko, Miller, Fox or Chytl) plus Strome and their 2021 1st. So you would get at least one Center back.
