Hearing Mike Schopp say

It truly feels cataclysmic. People are starved for entertainment in a pandemic and no one gave a poop about the Sabres.

Getting rid of Skinner can work but you need two things at the end of the day:
1) A team he'd waive to
2) Two teams willing to take his term at $2.25M

Step One:
-Trade 2021 2nd along with Skinner while retaining $4.5M (50%) to Team 1

Step Two:
-Team 1 trades Skinner to Team 2 while retaining $2.25M (50%), but what are the problems?
-Team 2 really has to believe Skinner is a victim of playing in BUF to pay $2.25M for six years, until he's 34. What would they be willing to give that makes all this worth it at the end of the day for Team 1 to keep $2.25M for six years? I'd say at best a 2nd or at worst a 3rd.

What team would be willing to give up a second for six year of Jeff Skinner at $2.25M? Probably a team close to the cap who needs a bargain middle six winger and believes Skinner can still be that player.

Who could that be that team? Dallas? Edmonton? Washington? Nashville? Vegas?

I could see Vegas being Team 2. Would they give up what's needed?

At the end of the day Team 1 would be receiving possibly two 2nd round picks for $2.25M for six years.
