Not exactly easy for a GM to work around randomly inserted cap bumps over a twelve year period.
- Rinosaur

Next year would be the 8 (he's already 9, so accounted for). 6&4 would be tough years 4&5, but doable. More then likely he's around for 3/4 more years before the buyout potentially happens and with the kids not needing to be paid yet, might be ok for him to get to the floor anyways

Here's the thing. You're in a bad situation with Skinner regardless. With Eichel likely gone, the chances of him returning to a 30 goal scorer are probably quite slim.

I'm not saying my proposal is GREAT, but it's either be stuck with a player who might get you 20 to 30 points for $9M over the next six years, or try and cut half his salary and bring in a player who may be more impactful.

the only thing rinosaur has correctly is it would be peak sabres to sell skinner at his absolute low
- robz228

Eh I wouldn’t be so sure.

It can always go lower. Especially after they blow it up like everyone wants.

Today was true Buffalo Sabres under Kerry and Tim...

1st - EK's BS post about Davidson and Torts. Holy crap that is fvcking funny sh¡t right there.

2nd - Jack tells Adams to Jack-off, he's done here.

3rd - Sam tells Adam's, he's going to Arb to be a goner in 1 year and there isn't a GD thing he can do about it.

4th -Risto tells Adams..Whatever Dude..I'm gone in 1 year.

I'm expecting The Don to tell Adams... fvck you and you interviews..I'll have plenty of opportunity without this poop show.

Maybe Bettman will offer to buy the team back rather than watch this once-proud team descend into the abyss.

(frank) you Kerry...(frank) you Tim..you get what you sow.
I hope this team folds.

GO BOLTS!!!

Skinner 2.5 mil retained and a second to Seattle.

That’s what I offer them.

That’s as high as I go.

Sabres are stuck with that contract sadly.

he dominated games at times this season no matter who his linemates were

even made eakin look serviceable at the end

if eichel/reinhart are gone he will be back on PP1 and get some free points. theres a chance his finishing ability has completely evaporated, but i think taylor hall is showing that is probably not the case.

i would bet big on like, a 15-20/20-25 type season

He’s not entirely wrong though.

Skinner is going to be an okay player on a bad team and will be on the wrong side of his career when this team is hopefully trending up in 3 years.

I don’t think he hits 30 again for the life of that contract.

so you'd give away a 2nd to continue paying 6.5 million to skinner? that just doesn't make any sense.

nvm im an idiot

Why, cause he says so. But what Hall says didn't matter.

I would t take that bet at all.

What’s the point for Skinner. He’s locked in to an immovable contract. He knows it.

He probably also doesn’t want to be here.

He sees this team is going into rebuild mode.

Effort level from him will be meh.

I’d put another 10-10 season on the board.

Has anyone else noticed Taylor Halls production in Boston? Pretty decent clip right now but man he was the poops in Buffalo? Whats up with that?

why would his effort level be any less than it was at the end of this season?

The golden Knights only have enough cap space to dress 9 forwards and 5 d-men.

Only the NHL man.

- ImThatGuy

Or don’t spend to the point in which you have to juggle your lineup based on a hard cap that was set before the beginning of the league year ?

Just a thought

spent most of the season with a 2% shooting percentage and the worst coaching job in the history of the league

boston bet on regression and they are getting it

Literally every team is against the cap right now outside of like 3 or 4.

They had injuries and couldn’t ice a full team.
