doubt it, but you have a right to be optimistic - homiedclown
it doesn't make sense to me for the sabres to move on from him...and, believe it or not, jack looks like he has matured and understands how things work...it looks like he's come a long way since the bylsma stuff...
i hear you on all counts...although, gmka hasn't done that bad with his trades considering the utter black hole he was working from - Michael Pachla
Always 2 sides to any story. What is Adams gonna say, We wanted to F@ck Jack dry. No we are following the recommended course of action right know by the Doctors.

who really knows? right? - Michael Pachla
I just look at the Hall situation (being able to negotiate with only 1 team) being the biggest factor in moving him now, vs later

That's it, other than words nothing has really happened. Let the summer of Fun begin.

"we, both sides, agreed to revisit this situation after Jack tried to rehab until the end of the season"
if I am trading w/Rangers I am asking Lafreniere, Kakko, Mika Z, #1 for the next 2 years and I am not budging - hehateme
I know I'm like 30 pages behind here, but...
Why would the Rangers want to trade all that for an injured, disgruntled, $10M kid who is showing he's not a leader?
I know the rumour mills have us all over a trade for him, but as a Rangers fan I will be all kinds of pissed if we trade 4 or 5 good assets for someone who stands a very real chance of disrupting our line up and locker room.
Good luck, guys. 90% of the games I've been to have been in Buffalo and I hope to get back there and see some more great inter-state battles soon!
p.s. - you do want Kakko! He has taken a little time, but he's become a force on the puck, hopefully his production catches up. I see a John LeClair type player.

my prediction:
jack will be the captain of the sabres for 2021-22 - Michael Pachla
I think you are right. We would still have a big window after next window in which to trade him before his NMC kicks in. Hopefully it never gets to that. I just don't see trading him while his health is in doubt.

Source? The kid played through numerous injuries even though it was obvious that this was a lost season. How often does a top 10 player in the league that is 24 years old and a 1c possibly become available?

that too...plus, he's coming off of a season where jim matheson of the edmonton journal tweeted this:
Jack Eichel is a nice player. Is he a great player? No, not after 375 NHL games. So how much do Sabres get if they want to trade him at $10 mil cap hit? They will shoot for moon.

I think Hall blowing up in Boston is enough proof that Eichel would be just fine in their organization
and also the proof needed for the other 31 nhl teams to never hire Ralph Krueger

The guy was in the thick of the mvp conversation last year. I don't think these people see him play night in and night out.

Eichel sure sounds like guy who wants to not shuffle (but run) out of Buffalo doesn't he? He's been really good NHL player with Sabres (355 points in 375 games) but not great one as No. 2 overall pick. Supporting cast? McDavid has 569 pts in 404 games since 2015-2016

They never should have put Eichel on the ice this year. He was so (frank)ed up
