Seems weird to look at the absolute poopshow the team has been since before he arrived and be mad at Jack Eichel.
- BINGO!

Yea, but most Buffalo fans arn't rational people.

They find who is making the most money and blame them.

one thing that nobody has mentioned

is this what a team captain is suppose to say?

"My No. 1 interest and my No. 1 goal is Jack Eichel"

- homiedclown

You must be a really big Sabres fan, wanting eichel gone.

He is getting 10 million to play a game. He has only played one full season, the rest he has been hurt. He is promoted to captain and all he does is b!tch and complain about losing. I know the owners are inept, but you are the captain making 10 million a year. Just go out and play and try to make other players better. Quit being such a little b!tch.

I still don't think Eichel gets traded unless it is for a poop ton in return, however I have had a day to think about what he said.

Franking trade the little cry baby, boohoo I am not winning, boohoo the Sabres doctors are wrong I need surgery.. Cry my a franking river Jack. I bet your not crying cashing in your franking millions that the Sabres Pay you every year.

I am sick of these fragile out of touch professional athletes. Try getting a real franking Job. Try working a 40-60 work weeks and struggling to make ends meet or feed your kids.

No lets cry about your not winning. You don't think that ALL of us want the Sabres to win?

how about being grateful that god gave you the talent to be an elite player that and the Sabres and NHL give you an opportunity to make a shat ton of money while playing a game that any one of us would do for free. be a part of the solution Jack. that is what Captains are suppose to do.

Frank you Jack.. Don't let the door hit you in your entitled a$$ on the way out.

perspective. a neck injury is serious.
- TheSabresTaco

Yes it is, but doesn't mean you rush into a surgery especially on the neck, to much stuff jammed into a small area. According to articles sometime in May was the time frame after therapy to judge the next phase of what needed to happen.

Really hard to exclude jack from the poopshow.

Being that Jack's the captain and all....

I've often told people, even as a manager, that you need to look out for #1, yourself. A business wouldn't think twice about laying you off or not giving raises (I've seen both) if it's what was best for the business. Everyone needs to look out for themselves. No one else is going to.

Eichel to LA for Byfield, Turcotte and a 1st this year and 2nd next year

or

Eichel to Anaheim for Zegras, Drysdale, 1st this year and 2nd next year

I am in the position that if we do not get maximum value, we hold onto Jack. If he refuses to play, let him sit. He signed a contract. If he wants to sit and not play then so be it. Thats on him.

That being said, the stuff with the neck injury sucks. Tough situation for everyone involved.

No one would play at that level for free. I really don't care that he's mad. Regardless of his job or his pay his place of employment sucks. So does mine, but I don't have a contract so I'm free to go find another one.

His on-ice performance has been great though. I don't know what more you can ask out of a guy who's been perpetually hurt and dragging around a junk hockey team for years now.

Olofsson said he had a great talk with Adams and they agreed he needs to be on the inside more to score goals around the net

a nice nugget

if it actually happens we'll see, but a nice nugget nonetheless.

once ruotsalainen got here who was supposed to be a similar player to olofsson, then you see him mixing it up in front of the net really put it on showcase.

maybe olofsson can beef up a bit and handle the tough areas, but he's been a pro for 7 years so im not holding my breath

Can't ask a thing.... I remember a couple weeks ago when we were winning some games and looking good everyone was throwing out their Eichel trade scenarios... NOW the guy wants out and look how everyone feels..... Things change quickly around these parts...

Could be a blessing in disguise. We are bound to get some nice pieces.

Sun is shining and we are breathing boys.

It's not just on ice performance.
I've backed eichel 100%. Super talent
Best since la la and hasek.

He seriously has some leadership issues. Breaking sticks, sulking, pouting.....losing

Wouldnt the most talented player always win the Stanley cup, if on -ice performance is the only way to judge a player?

No, because winning the cup is kind of a crapshoot. You have to be good, yeah, but there's a hundred other things that have to line up just right for you or just wrong for somebody else in order to do it.

I agree there are leadership issues though. He was definitely handed too much too early.

He should look after Jack first. Pretty much just said he supports his decision.

Confirms how bad the organization is to have your superstar S*IT all over you and then the "superstar" that left agrees with him

"I know Jack is frustrated,” Hall said after the Bruins' 3-2 victory. “Jack and I became really, really good friends during our time in Buffalo and I support him. I know he’s gone through some stuff with the medical staff there and ultimately, Jack has to worry about himself. There’s teams that they’re going to worry, just like he said, about what’s best for them. And Jack has to do what’s best for him.

"And I know he’s got an injury that he feels he can take care of with a surgery and there’s a little bit of a disagreement. But I support Jack and he was nothing but a great teammate and a really good friend when I played with him.”
