I think everyone gets that we won't win an Eichel trade. But honestly you have to get at minimum 85 cents on the dollar. And one of those has to be upper echelon territory. Until then, you make it known to him that you just can't trade him period.

So basically Eichel wants to have a procedure done that's relatively new to the medical world, and the Sabres supposedly aren't comfortable with that.

Also, I'm hearing that Tim Connolly reached out to Jack Eichel and told him that he's personally better off doing what his own medical team suggests rather than what the Sabres suggest.

Maybe along the lines of Seattle's 2021 1st (probable top 5), a goalie from the expansion draft (Allen, khudobin, DeSmith) , and maybe 2 other draft picks acquired in expansion draft trades that are top 60 picks, with no salary retention....

Is that in the ballpark?

Gerbe's it's a very weird situation, really sounds like Eichel is positioning himself, maybe he stays, but he layed the ground work to push his way out if he wants. It really falls on a Organization that has a lot to prove. But the medical stuff, don't really find anything suspicious. A decision was agreed upon about therapy and rest that would be reevaluated in May. If his medical team thought it wasn't the right thing, he could have filed a grievance last month.

The 1st would be your blue chip prospect as it would be top 5. But yeah no guarantee he even turns into anything.

If they took skinner or like Okposo and Miller then I can see something like that.
