Probably not, but the one thing I do know is Eichel is not getting anything close to a Lindros type package.

So whatever the demand is...example 2 1st, multiple top tier prospects and a star roster play then just automatically cut it in half and that's the return. It sucks for Buffalo, but who ever gets in on Jack will have to be taking on his baggage. Great player, just not someone you destroy your team to get.

He's got baggage?

I think your offer is very fair value. But I'd rather get one guy that's elite rather than pieces

So why are we looking for more prospects?
- chilliard77

Cause i'd rather grab all the young guys then get Zib for a year

Even if he sign long term, He'll have another 3 good years max?

You could have 2 young guys instead for possibly their entire career....

Remember though Sabres will have to take back salary from just about 95% of teams that trade for him. Prospects and picks will not make a deal work.

Baggage is like bad attitude

Not sure there are many teams out there that would give up their elite player for him though.

Maybe you are right, but I am of the opinion Zib is a late bloomer and will be a PPG center for the next 7-10 seasons.

I expect to get less than expected in the return.

I think Zibanejad is the perfect fit.

I dont think thats the Sabres issue. Someone else can figure out their cap issues. The owners have plenty of money they can bury to afford burying someone in the AHL. If they want Jack, they can figure it out.

How many coaches and GMs does this guy need to run out of town before people see who the problem is?

Not sure he has that many years left, maybe 4 solid years left. Even this past year his numbers were inflated a bit. I think 15-16 points he had were against the Flyers during their darkest part of the season.

Nylander and Rielly ?

No way Toronto gives up Rielly, Nylander is another story.
