It’s amazing in 24 hours how things have changed in my mind. I was ready to build some optimism with a decent center core.

Now, it’s scorched earth. They’ve reached the point of no return & have to rip it down with Eichel and Reinhart trades. They’ve put themselves in this spot.

The point was trading Jack for Zib is absolutely foolish, partially because of the latter's age.

Let’s just rebuild again.

Let’s suck in 22-23 cause those guys will be good.

It’s working so well.

Zibanejad is an elite center right now.

It would soften the blow and still allow this team to be competitive.

You have 2 young centers in Cozens and Mitts.

Zib can teach them things.

A lot of players are really really good..... Then they come to Buffalo and either 1 have a really good year get big contract and never show up again or 2 wear out their welcome and get traded within the first year.

Pointless to grab a near 30 year old guy when theres plenty of prospects to choose from. Especially when your re-building for the 11th straight year.
