They need a blue chip prospect + a great prospect + a roster player + a first

the Rangers will not come close to this, nor should they. I am not a fan of either team but can tell you honestly this is ridiculous and if this is your sincere hope, of course you are going to be greatly disappointed. Fox, might be the Norris winner this year, he is not a prospect, right now he is worth more than Dahlin.

-one of Laf OR Kakko ( not both )
-1rst round 2021, 2nd rounder 2022
-Schneider
-Georgiev

this is realistic

The bolded pieces are a joke
There should be no way we are happy getting pieces like that back for Eichel

I would insist that whoever you trade Eichel to, they take Skinner too.

Both to NYR for Laf and Chytil and their 2022 first.

Reset our cap. Tank one more year and be loaded with young talent from our high pick this year, next year and NYR pick.

I would keep Sam. We will have ton of cap space.

Beniers
Cozens
Mitts
Chytil as your centers

Quinn, Laf, Aspland, Tage, Oloffson, Sam as your wings. Fill in with all your draft picks.

- Fattony1187

Then we’d get a worse return fir Eichel
Didn’t u see what happened with O’Reilly when we made StL pay the bonus?

Let’s not make the same mistake & devalue Eichel
That would be a dumb idea

You can't trade Jack Eichel for a player who will walk in 12 months
- jcragcrumple

I think the bigger question is you have owners that won't cover the payment for a surgery needed due to a hockey injury

NMC aside,

If Seattle offers their first for Eichel and Skinner, do you say yes?

It allows the Sabres to just start over. I feel like this team desperately needs a hard reset

- jcragcrumple

that is very interesting

I'm not a doctor, nor do I play one on the internet, but I have heard that if fusion is the remedy for this ailment, it will limit his neck mobility permanently. I assume the Sabres are worried about that
- jcragcrumple

That is not true, can it happen sure, I had a 2 stage fusion done 10yrs ago and I 95% my mobility, yes I probably have more stiff necks then most people. And I'm sure they have improved on that surgery. I am not a Doctor, but most doctors will try PT before surgery, and he could have the Surgery next week and still be back on the ice by August. It really doesn't make sense.

Hurt neck on a guy with $10 million per coming his way. A guy who looked real average with his hurt neck in the games he played this year.

I think the return gets smaller by the minute as GMs soberly evaluate Jack Eichle's value in a trade.

There'll be some suffering before this gets better.

- lacaprup

Eichel said during the pressor he had 5 injuries he was dealing with all year.

Hernated Disk
ankle sprain
broken ribs
abdominal injury - from last year lingering still.

I don't think Ron Francis is eating a $19 million cap and trading away a 1st to get Jack Eichel.

Agree. But they take skinner too
- Fattony1187

Yeah, 0 teams are taking 18 mil in salary cap. None.

Unless we’re taking bad contracts back for players who are probably worse than Skinner

Skinner will be here a minimum two more years.

I can't see Fox being anything other than untouchable.

If we managed to get that return though, color me happy.

Jesus man, what?

Absolutely never.

- sbroads24

it would give you 2 - top 5 picks. even if this is a weaker draft and you compare to a similar weaker draft like 2017, that still means you can come away with 2 of Hischire, Petterson, Makar, Heiskanen. if you were offered two of them right now for Eichel you'd take it. throw in getting out of Skinner's albatross. its a pretty good deal.

Exactly why the Sabres are trying to delay the surgery until later in the summer

He has the surgery later teams want to see him on the ice first. He plays in Buffalo and has a good year and gets dealt and the Sabres get a better trade package

Eichel gets the surgery now, he starts skating in about 6 weeks and his agent starts getting video out there showing he is ready to force the Sabres hand to trade him this off season.

Sabres trade him for a much lesser package

Rangers wouldn't have 19 in cap room for both. Ottawa or Kings might though?

When does Jack's NTC come in to play?
If he doesn't ask for a trade until then he can dictate where he goes.
So does he shut his (frank)ing yap until then or is he just (frank)ing done with this poopty franchise?

I'll hang up and not listen.
