HB doesn't exactly have a history of posters honouring their bets. Eh KKKap? - gergeswillems
Actually, KKKap won by a lot but a small clique of HB posters led by a former bureaucrat stole the bet |

From their thread
if I am trading w/Rangers I am asking Lafreniere, Kakko, Mika Z, #1 for the next 2 years and I am not budging
5 premium pieces.
Eichel is a great talent but there has to be some serious question marks there. The Sabres aren't getting 5 premium pieces. They might get 2, and a salary dump coming the other way. - Aetherial
Quite risky giving up the farm for a player needing neck surgery. |

I think JE should just stick to GM’ing and coaching for a season or two, let himself heal before he inserts himself back into the game. |

They would not come close to that package even if he was in great health.

What is going on with all the injuries and etc with the Habs, will any/all those players be back? - Archaic
They should all be back for the playoffs.

Even Gallagher, Danault, and Drouin?
I figured Gallagher/Danault wouldnt be ready for game 1.

Garf can be Jorts Jack's personal assistant. He can't be any worse doing that than he was at "writing" Sabres blogs. |

Both Gallagher and Danault are on the ice this morning.
They'll be there.
Drouin won't be, I forgot about him.

You sure love to dwell in the past.
Let’s have a bet. Leafs lose 1st round, I buy a seasons pass on HB. Leafs win, you buy one. - Woderwick
yeah i'm not taking a bet against the leafs winning vs the injured habs.
still, doesn't mean that leafs are favorites to win the stanley cup. |

He should begin the playoffs.
Now if the Habs are having trouble scoring goals, they might sit him or someone else to put Caufield in. |

If he’s healthy, no doubt he is a beaut of a hockey player. Any trade proposal would assuredly include a physical to alleviate some of that risk, so I’m not sure that would scare anyone away from getting involved. He’s worth a good amount. Is Garf simply looking at the cost of an offer sheet converted to prospects?
I think he’s a 100 point guy if healthy and playing with something capable. I’d take him on the Leafs. |

He’d be very motivational. Increasing confidence, inflating egos, hyping the guys up pregame. |

Why would Habs not play Caufield?
They need to score goals and Caufield can do that. (Habs and Blues are only playoff teams with a negative goal differential and Habs are one of 3 playoff teams with least goals scored (156)).

That’s the risky aspect of inserting these “seasoned” vets into the game. They seem to get broken more easily, and take longer to heal. Giving is often as risky, health wise, as receiving. That’s why most of these guys try to pace themselves (to the chagrin of most fans). Regular season play shouldn’t sway anyone’s decision with a number of these guys - they do possess an extra playoff gear. |

I mean, kind of yeah.
If they don't win the cup then there's work to be done? If they make it past the first round it's progress but not success... |
