Buffalo Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams says that Jack Eichel has not asked for a trade.

#LetsGoBuffalo

Oh Kevyn you sly bastard.

(who the f%ck spells KEVIN that way anyway? How can you trust a MOFO who does?)

Sure Jack probably hasn't asked for a trade.

He and his agent have both probably called you and demanded a trade while screaming profanities and expletives at you.

- Cush29

The dude literally said "wherever he plays next year" to the MEDIA.

He is asking for a trade. They (frank)ed up so bad and they will have to be thankful they will get a package value for Echiel. Do the man a favour and trade him.

Mitch Marner on Frederik Andersen's return tonight:

"He's worked his butt off to get back into the shape where he thinks he's the best possible goalie he can be and we're excited for that and we're excited for him."

Why is this poop necessary?

Why?

- Atomic Wedgie

Because he really means it.

They really like Andersen and Campbell. They are both great guys and great goalies. They have the utmost confidence in either one.

No, really

REALLY!

Taylor Hall wanted to play hockey without responsibility and he's lighting it up

Or maybe that's just what happens when a player leaves Buffalo

- TheMussel

This could prove to be the best motivational and negotiation tool going. Play better, or we’re trading you to Buffalo. Sign for this amount or we’re trading you to RippedFuel Town.

Your belief that this is not how the Leaf players feel about Freddy and JC is incorrect and upsetting.

I am now triggered!!

I hope while you are digging your Andersen torch and pitchfork out from your shed in preparation for tonight's game you simultaneously burn and pierce one of your nuts!

Sincerely

At the risk of sounding like I'm defending the Buffalo Sabres here, Eliot Friedman (or however you spell his name - I can never get it right) has some interesting tidbits:

https://www.sportsnet.ca/...disconnect-eichel-sabres/

I think that the organization has a right to be concerned about a guy wanting to have an artificial disc inserted in his franking neck.

It probably gets into all sorts of crazy insurance and liability issues.

And by that, I mean crazy USA insurance and liability issues.

NYR could potentially take Skinner in the deal, and buy him out.

1st + Georgiev + Howden

for

Eichel and Skinner.

Just ignore Aethsie.

He knows that both Andsie and Campzer give us a chance to win every night.

We play with a lot of confidence, knowing they can make the big save when needed.

We just need to play our game, and focus on doing the little things right.

Just take it one game at a time, and be patient.

OK, thanks.

But why would the Rags do that? They actually have the cap + young assets to get a straight deal done.

There's nothing like a 12 year 2.472 mil AAV cap hit to get Rangers fans excited.

$9M cap hit in 2022-23 for a buyout.

Rangers can't absorb that.

Nobody can absorb that.

Fair but do we need to get the puck in deep and give it 100% on every shift too?

What about staying out of the box and being hard on the puck and getting our cycle game going?

So much to do in 60 minutes but it's a team game and takes a total team effort and these guys will go to and through the wall for one another. They have bonded to a level that is indescribable and have just become so much more than teammates - they are like a close knit family.

I just hope the boyz bring it and don't take their foot off the gas if they get up early and play a full 60!

OK thanks.

NYR could potentially take Skinner if Buffalo eats half and he starts scoring 40 again

And we've got veteran leadership.

Guys look around the room and see guys like Spezz, Thornsie and Simms, they've been there before. They know what it takes to win.

You can't help but notice what these guys are doing. It adds another element to this team.

Thanks, Christine.

Leafs just need to control what they can control and play within their structure. Trust the process. Don't get too high or too low. If they play their game on their terms then winning will take care of itself.

Exactly.

From day one, this team has been focused on our goals.

Our fans our the greatest in the world, and they really motivate us.

We are proud of what we achieved in the regular season, but we know that's only one piece of the puzzle. We need to keep doing what we've been doing.

I think Wedgsie has been really good this year. He's playing with a lot of pace and really stepping up. We have a lot of fun here and the guys are great. It's just a lot of fun to play here. Sometimes the puck just doesn't go in and you just need to play through that, don't get down on yourself.

All the guys in this room believe in one another. It all starts with Jumbo. We all want him to lift the Stanley Cup over his head because no one deserves it more than he does. We all want to win it for him. And in order for us to do that we have to roll up our sleeves and dig deep and bring our lunch pails and get to work. It takes 16 wins to win a Stanley Cup but right now we're only focussed on winning game 1.

I'm seriously tempted to stitch all these together into one document, and then just keep replying to the Leafs reporter Twitter accounts when they keep asking the same stupid questions and tweeting the same stupid answers.

This is my favourite part. They know what it takes to win. Of course, that is only because they saw other teams do it to them.

they wouldnt lose Kakko? (compared with your deal).
and as someone mentioned, maybe Buff could eat part of Skinner's salary - and the buyout is done later (in a few seasons when NYR are potentially in a cap crunch?) so numbers change?

That Skinner contract (bonuses) is structured in a really odd way..
