Super season for the Wild I am looking forward more toward the offseason than I am the playoffs, I can't wait to see what next years version of the Wild will look like, I don't think Minnesota will survive the divisional playoffs but certainly they exceeded my expectations for this year by a country mile. Honestly I will be watching the Tampa and Florida first round playoff clash.

Feels like this should be one of those times where you can throw out the old "can't win 'em all" adage, but they didn't even compete last night...

Did the entire team go out drinking the night before??? Could possibly be the worst performance of the season for them. Even Kaprisov looked out of sorts last night. Sloppy, lethargic play be the entire squad. Talbot looked as ordinary as i imagined in my mind when BG signed him...

Guess it's a good thing Colorado didn't lose because that would have just magnified how horrible this squad was. Not trying to take anything away from a solid performance by St.Louis, but i think the Wild would have had a difficult time with Jr team last night.

A bit surprising being that at the start of the game they still had a lot riding on the post season positioning. But, i guess they might as well get that kind of lack luster game out of the way now as opposed to have it after the post season starts up.

Make no mistake, i'm not under the delusion that this squad is ready to compete for the cup yet, but losing and being completely noncompetitive are not the same thing, and that is one thing that has made this team so entertaining to watch this season... Unlike last night they always appear to be "IN" every game to the bitter end. Hope last night was just an anomaly... Would be a shame to play as well as they did all season only to digress back to ordinary now...

Maybe the Wild were not as motivated knowing they are locked into the 3 seed? Maybe scoreboard watching to find out who they'll play in the 1st round? I do find it odd that the 4th place Blues have beaten the Wild almost as many times as Colorado and Vegas have combined. Match ups.

Yeah, last nights game was nothing but pure ugliness. By the time it was 4-0 in the 2nd, I had already moved onto other things and the game just became background noise. I'm all locked in for the playoffs now anyways. Doubt I will even watch tonight's game with the fishing opener in 2 days now. Gotta get reels spooled up.
