The format of the regular season has drummed up a lot interest for these first round match ups. Outside of Bruins/Caps. Tampa vs Florida looks like it is going to have some fireworks.
Toronto vs Montreal is intriguing but i think Toronto is going to come out of that pretty easily. Unless they implode. |

Choosing to play a former 4th overall pick known for his offensive ability in a top six role with other skilled players was a gutsy move by the Panthers organization. - Sean Maloughney

All of them in the East, Central, and West. Nothing really worth watching in the North, as the Cup champ will not come from that division. |

Toronto-Montreal and Florida-Tampa.
Hoping Toronto and Tampa lose so the CBJ can get better picks in the 1st round. It's not much, but it is a reason to watch.

Obviously I will be keeping a close eye on the Oilers and Habs series...oops sorry I meant Oilers and Jets
Is this Homer actually suggesting the Habs will beat out the leafs in RD1? |

Nobody is saying the players suck. But that doesn't change the fact that overall the north division is the weakest. Unless injuries stop them or they horribly underperform, Toronto has a free ride to the conference final. But that isn't the case for the other divisions.

Panthers/Bolts should be very good. They are pretty evenly matched and the โhateโ level between the two has really ramped up this season. |
