What a season for Forester. I’ve never heard of a dislocated collar bone, doesn’t sound great.

Poor TyFo. I hope he isn't always this injury prone, although crashing head first into the boards will hurt just about anybody

I am really glad he is okay. That hit could have ended much worse

Also I'm glad to see sandstorm rebound well now that he is healthy

He had his legs taken out (accidentally) on the first one and, on this one, hit a run in the ice, was off balance and got bumped into the lower part of the boards. Just two unfortunate injuries. Any player in same circumstance would have been injured.

Personally I was excited about the Isaac Ratcliffe pick, but, I think he's been a big disappointment thus far, was expecting more from him. Hopefully he can stay healthy get his big body in gear sooner than later.

We had three picks in the top 35 of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, all three have been disappointing so far.

How has Frost been disappointing? Because he got injured?

I just thought he'd contribute at the NHL level sooner. He hasn't shown much offence when he's been up with the big club, perimeter player, and he's just turned 22 years old. For some reason I thought he'd be our next Giroux.

At 21 years old, in 08/09, Giroux had 27 points in 42 games on a team that was competitive.

Many pegged him to be the next best thing, hasn’t played anything close to a full season, still a question mark. We have no idea if he can produce at the NHl level. He is 100% disappointing until proven otherwise.

Not being able to stay healthy is apart of the disappointment. Can he recover? Of course but as it stands, yes, disappointment.

He scored goals on his first two NHL games, created a pair of 2-on-1s in his 3rd game. Did hit the wall a bit. But had a very good camp this January -- roughly on par with Farabee's. Was one of the few Flyers who played well in the 6-1 home loss to Buffalo. In 2nd game, JVR flubbed one with a half open net (cost Frost an assist). Then Frost got injured in 2nd pd and was lost for the season.

Frost will be fine. Needs a good offseason and an assertive preseason.

I always thought more of briere than g in comparisons. Still young. His offense will be fine it’s his play away from the puck at the nhl that he was working on I thought.

So many nice (not great) picks after him. You cant play Monday morning quarterback except for the fact that they traded up to get him. If you are going to whiff its ok, but dont pay additional assets to do it.'
Yes, 2017 started out a dream and turned into a nightmare. I will Monday-morning on the Patrick pick. The Flyers would have picked him even if they drafted 1st. They went with their usual stategy - big, semi-slow, Canadian kid (preferably western - farm raised), and as usual it bit them in the ass

Wow! Tough room. Gotta perform like G not to be a disappointment. And to some on hear G is a disappointment.

What was Frost. 1st round 27th pick? Kids doing great. He had a couple awesome years in Jr’s and now we want G production or he is a disappointment.

He will be just fine. He has some tools and can score in the NHL. It was a good pick by the Flyers. He is showing promise.

Agreed. Once Frost gets going he will be tough to slow down. He has great wheels and some great stick skills. Pretty smart player. He took awhile to get going in Jr’s also. But when he did he lit the league up.

It does suck Frost got injured early into the season because he likely would have gotten ample chances this year with how bad the season went.

I like the word assertive! Can we please get more ASSERTIVE players on this team in this off season!! Allison is a good start, but my God I've never seen so many sleep skaters(see what I did there?) on one team in my life! Someone please tell these players that hockey is a proactive sport(not a reactive sport). Thanks!

It’s unfortunate for sure, but Frost can still be part of the solution going forward. Folks harp about being big and slow in one breath and shout about the lack of physicality on the next breath. So which is it? IMO, it is important they make sure the pieces can fit together.

Frost can be a piece of the puzzle that helps with our speed issues. He flashed clear NHL scoring upside in his limited sample. I don’t think we should worry about that.

Has anyone ever had a dislocated shoulder....Then surgery?

I have, shoulder will never be the same...He is small and fragile.
I will bet, another heavy hit and POP goes the shoulder.
He will be a solid Ahler at best...
Pray I'm wrong.
I too like Bill, was excited when I saw those 2 or 3 really nice passes and finishes early on.
Franchise guys don't hit a wall and have the wall fall on top of them and then have an opportunity in Playoffs and don't even get in a game over Nate Thomson and Grant...
He didn't even rip up the AHL and single handedly dominate game like he did against kids in Juniors.

One of my brothers did...no the shoulder was not the same. He also was not a hockey player. He could no longer play basketball because of the shoulder and feet issues. Instead, as a kid, he woke up everyday and taped up both feet himself, and he became a baseball pitcher (other arm, I believe) and was quite good.

I am not sure how the injury will affect him, but I don’t think hockey players have to regularly put both arms above their head, in motion and bearing some weight.

Frost is healthy now and has a full offseason to work out and skate. There may be some things he should not do...like basketball IDK...but I am sure his doctor and the Flyers are aware and helping him.

I’ve had injuries to both shoulders and neither came back 100%. Especially the strength. But even if Frost is physically 100% you can’t be sure of the mental factor. If he looses confidence in getting dirty or taking hits it can affect his entire game. Just look at Patrick who is physically fine. We are all obviously hopeful that “ Frost will be fine”. But it’s pure speculation at this point.

Interesting. Just saw that Patrick hanged agents. Third one in three years.

Dunno about Briere.

Frost is more like a poor man's Mitch Marner.
