That miss by pasta happens about as frequently as moon landings...unreal.
And yeah the B's got some crap officiating last night for sure.

It isn't even debatable anymore that the league wants its star players to take more abuse, play through it, whatever they want to call it to justify not calling the rule book on star player penalties..

When McJesus can't get a call in 8 straight playoff games....well then everyone is fair game to get completely screwed.

He’s not even a Bruins fan...

And if you’re telling me we’re the only fan base that has fans who blame the refs, than I have a bridge to sell you.

That looked like a spear, they messed up the whole sequence with the cross checks and called it a minor. They basically admitted they (frank)ed that whole thing up by not giving a major and no I’m not saying that is right. The Krejci goal was not goalie interference by Marchand. There was a Zajac high stick that went uncalled and a call on McAvoy for the exact same infraction maybe 5 minutes later. The referring was trash in this game, as it often is just by sheer inconsistencies.

It, however, had little to no impact on the game. The Islanders were simply the better team in nearly every facet of the game. Good win and much credit to the Isles.

Onto game 5 and hopefully Miller is ready to go. The defense needs to do a better job advancing the puck or we’ll continue to get clogged up in the neutral zone. Time for Cassidy to make some adjustments. I never felt an ounce of comfort watching that game, even when they had the brief lead. They didn’t deserve it and the Islanders did.

Oh and get rid of DeBrusk in the off season.

They should’ve given Barzal a minor for cross checking and a five min major for spearing. Officiating has been terrible the entire playoffs it’s incredible how bad it is every year.

I guess it's open season on Barzal, Beauvillier, and Nelson.

You guess? It has been since game 1

This series has been great, chippy, and physical. Appreciate it for what it is. I will say if you think you’re not getting calls I’ll say you’re completely out of your mind. The officiating has been terrible both ways.

I agree, but to do that would mean admitting they let those cross checks go. It’s much easier, for the refs that is, to review the major and just go *shrug*. Let’s just say we didn’t see a major and admit no wrongdoing. That’s what I think happened.

I don’t think you can look at the review and then assess a minor to Barzal for cross checking. Actually, I’m fairly certain that they cannot. Maybe you should be able to for mitigating majors seen as retaliation? I don’t know what the correct answer is, but the league needs to figure something out. It’s getting worse and devolving into a clown show. Tim Peel was the scapegoat and the league was hoping to sweep their referring issue under the rug.

NHL officiating is a joke. That’s not a big secret. That whole sequence were they reviewed their initial call was laughable. They’ve done that a few times in the playoffs for us already and every time it’s a joke of an outcome. I’ve never seen a spear to the nuts not be a major save for these clowns that actually reviewed the play and saw what we saw in slow motion and still came to that conclusion

These refs and the NHL in general are a complete gong show when it comes to officiating.

I could care less about what the officials do.
Take care of business on your end like scoring on an empty net or shooting more with the extra man advantage.
Pull up the big boy pants and play on.
Go Bruins.

So they fined krejie 5k for a slash.......they know it was a blatant spear. As for the crosschecks well that's become a common occurrence in games these days and isn't called much even though it should be

The officiating has been a joke for years that is nothing new. Barzal should of had 2 minutes for the cross checks and a major for spearing for Krejci. this is old time in your face hockey. I hope they keep the Bruins in the metro next season these games are great.

If Cassidy ever rolls that (frank)ing puke inducing Coyle line like that while behind in a tight game he should be (frank)ing fired.

DeBrusk is awful. It's time to pull the plug as he's exactly that...A plug.
Coyle is just not that good and no vastly overpaid.
Ritchie is a pant load.

The Lazar line also needs to chip in something in the way of scoring at some point soon.

I don't even bother getting upset about the officiating anymore. It's a joke on both sides of the ice in every. single. game. league. wide.

That being said, Cassidy should take the lions share of the blame for this loss from a Boston perspective. Total lack of adjustments. Claude Julien style of conveyor belt rolling 4 lines in particular the amount of ice the bottom 6 (who sucks) has been getting while behind in a tight game.

Isles were the better team and played like it. A postseason coming out party for Barzal while DeBUST sucks and blows.

The DOPES are all over the map. Wilson gets 5K, Kadri was not long enough, Scheifele gets 4 games, Krejci gets 5K.

Im a closet Isles fan.
My son is a die hard Bruins fan.
I watch A LOT of Bruins hockey.

The refs HATE your team. I didn't believe it until I watched a number of seasons of it.

Ya Jack and Brick are major homers...what local tv guys aren't.
BUT....they usually have cause for their ire.
It's a pretty blatant bias.

It's funny cuz a lot of fans from teams we play often say the opposite - that NHL wants Bruins to win. The one cup we have since 1972 might prove otherwise.

The NHL reffing is terrible - for both sides - and has been so for quite some time.

I think the lions share of the blame goes to the Islanders playing well but i did notice the same thing.

I think (too many saturday beers) he rolled out the 4th line with about two minutes left and I was yelling at the TV. Two minutes left, down one. You roll your best 6 forwards.

Refs...stop blowing Trotz...it’s not a good look on the league.
Miller, Carlo, we miss you
