I don’t think anyone here knows what it takes to be a pro hockey player or can relate to what Patrick has gone through to this point. We’re currently talking about trading Voracek for Kessel. Well Kessel had an awful season for his standards one year ago but this passed season Kessel returned to form. This season Patrick Laine, Seth Jones and multiple Flyers could have been better.

One season doesn’t define a player. Definitely not a young one who made a giant leap from juniors to the NHL. If Patrick has a repeat, I get it, move him. We do need to give him one final shot though.

He’s suggesting another Hartnell/Umberger deal that would only go one season. That much I agree but this idea that Voracek only puts up 50-60 points a season and Kessel is a better solution, this is just crazy talk.

If its for real the Flyers almost have to trade him. No way he can play here now. The fans will be brutal.

Fake has been on a 4 year steady decline in points. 85-66-56-43. He has put up over 80 points 2x as a flyers. He has put up 50-60 points 5x as a flyers. He has put up 40-50 points 2x as a flyers.

In 8 full seasons he has averaged 63.62. In the last 5 he has averaged 62.2. So yes he is 62 point player.

In that same 5 year period kessel has averaged 65 points. Yeah such crazy talk. How outlandish of me to suggest a one sided trade.

He has also outscored Fake on the pp 128 to 101 over that same 5 year period.

Let me tell you that would such a lopsided trade in Arizona's favor they may have to include a 1st rd pick. I cant believe I suggested such a horrible trade.

Jake is 31. Kessel is 33 and he’ll turn 34 when the next season begins. Tell me what greatness you expect from Phil Kessel in Philadelphia on the downside of his career? What greatness did Kessel bring to Toronto in 6 seasons of his prime?

I think Seattle takes Jake or Ghost over JvR. If you have a bunch of castoffs and young players like Vegas did, a #1 playmaker and first power play cornerstone (Jake is both) is more valuable than a streaky shot deflector. And I think Jake's real dollar figure is low.

It'll be Jake, and maybe they get a sweetener out of Fletch if they play their cards right.

Yes it is clueless. Umberger was spent. Done like dinner. Cooked. Cant play. Another gem by Hextall. Cleary even you can see the diff no? Though according to you you going from Fake to Kessel is a huge downgrade. I hope they keep Fake and they rest of the "boys" as they have "earned" 1 more shot.

I think Jake is undervalued some. He can produce and can be tough on the puck. He sits high on the assist leaderboard year in and year out. Big body guy but doesn't play a game where he wears it down. Played some better 200 foot hockey last year. Yes his contract is tough in this flat cap time frame. The Kraken might take him over a Patrick or Ghost if we protect JVR.

Not that I want to see him go because he would be tough to up grade or even just replace what he brings.

It is a pipe dream to expect Ron Francis to pick up Jake with 3 years at $8.25M per owed him. Ron Francis was a hockey player, a hall of fame hockey player. He knows what Jake is; a pass happy pond hockey player. Fletcher would have to sweeten the deal so much it would not make sense for the Flyers to do IMO.

This is a bunch of crap from SanFilippo, trying to make up a story that he can then say he broke! I mean think about this statement:
