Funny, it was just like 2 days ago Bill was saying Sandstrom would be doing the bulk of the goalie work for the Phantoms this season. I don’t think this is much of a loss.

They would have to throw in a high pick and possibly another asset because I think other teams will beat that offer with just Patrick and Myers.

it isn't for this year at least. Maybe he goes there plays well and comes back. He will be 25 so unlikely.

Yes it is clueless. Umberger was spent. Done like dinner. Cooked. Cant play. Another gem by Hextall. Cleary even you can see the diff no? Though according to you you going from Fake to Kessel is a huge downgrade. I hope they keep Fake and they rest of the "boys" as they have "earned" 1 more shot.

I never said going from Jake to Kessel was a downgrade. I said Kessel and Jake had the same amount of points last season and Kessel is two years older, so I don’t see the future you do in Kessel if we brought him here. Than you brought up Kessel had one year left in his deal. So if you’re talking about one for one because the return has a lesser term, that’s a Hartnell for Umberger deal. If you think Kessel is going to come in here for one season and completely turn us around, that’s a different argument entirely. A dumb one, regardless of who is better than who.

I do very easily. They cant attract free agents who can actually play. Fake gives them 3 years of control. Not like Fake is a washed up slug.

it is a smart way to look at it assuming Arizona wants to at least try to put a decent team on the ice. They will need solid forwards who produce.

Sad that players now stay away from philly. This is how bad the franchise has fallen. Don't totally disagree he may not waive. Depends what the other options are.
