While I can understand the feeling that right now there's not a lot of optimism to go around, maybe we can still agree that this is a statement made prematurely out of frustration? The series is still 2-2, with two out of three games at home. Whether or not they win this series, I refuse to believe they are just going to lie down and take it on the chin for 3-4 games in a row. For all the bluster from MacKinnon and friends about wanting to go deep in the playoffs and win, I can't imagine that they are pleased with their results.

Right now this is team that bought in to their own hype, and started enjoying the stink of their own farts. Back home they will have the match ups they want, they can double shift MacKinnon, and hopefully get some better personnel in to the lineup. Nemeth can never take a shift for the Avs again and they'd be all the better for it.

Yeah, they have been poop for two and a half games. But they still only need two wins and they aren't losing two games at home. Wait and see, I think things are going to turn out just fine still.

It is/was out of frustration, I know we won't go 16-0 but it is more of how they are losing. At least put in the effort and not just roll over which has happened for 3 games now. Hoping game 5 they at least put in the effort

Oh I get it. The worst thing that could have happened maybe was winning game one 7-1. They just assumed that they were entitled to win without putting in the effort. Now, hopefully, they get it and match their effort to their skill.
