might not be a terrible look

Jones being so small and having gifted hands might be able to win some faceoffs.

I didnt say he has small gifted hands.

I said small (as in low center of gravity) and gifted hands (as seen in his playmaking and passing skills).

My (flawed) logic for wanting to keep 15oa is to keep the cupboard replenished for 3-4 years down the line when we should be in striking distance of making a long run. That player we draft could be used to draw in the “final piece” or used as a cheap contract on the roster.

I actually wouldn’t mind JRR’s proposal. Losing Nils over Robertson & 15 is more palatable.

That's exactly how I'm approaching this.

Anybody interested in the Rangers bringing in Jeff Carter? I think that could be a great fit.

2x3?

Edit:

NVM I thought he was a FA.

He doesn't have the "reputation". Hedman in a landslide. Hope I'm wrong.

Would love it. I mentioned it a few weeks back, but someone here correctly reminded me he isn't a UFA and his contract is a pretty fair deal w/ 1 yr. remaining. No reason Pitt would trade him. He would be a great 3c for a year, no doubt!

I really think that if we had completed our run and made the playoffs he would win. But, that is the measuring stick for most of these awards. Foxy will just have to wait until next year!!

Ugh. As good as they look in this game, I really hope Drury isn’t trying to adopt their style of play. They need a plan to play against a trap, not their own trap.

Isles have 4 lines, something we haven't had in a few years.

This isles team really reminds me of the 2014 and 2015 rangers teams

in 12 games, Clutterbuck, Czizikas and Martin have a combined 160 hits

I dont think its fair just to label them a trap team, they forecheck and pound the hell out of the opponent

Islanders are a really really good team with the best coach in the NHL

Yeah, as much as none of us ever want the Rangers to be anything like the Islanders, they pressure in every zone and play with physical intensity.
That, I wouldn’t mind picking up on.

That National Anthem last night was AMAZING!!!!! I actually liked Isles fans......for about 1min 15 sec.

Seriously, very proud to see fellow Long Islanders putting on that patriotic display. Good on them!!!!!!!!!!
