Damn should have waited for Brind'Amour to actually sign the contract

Not really excited for the move but just going to hope for the best. Hope he brings that fast success like he did in Vegas

This is good news. They picked one of the hottest girls at the dance. He's no Barry Trotz but he will do.

I don’t like it which means it’s a good move for the Rangers

I just don't get why he only lasts 3 years everywhere he goes. Does he get bored? My biggest hesitation really. Would like to have someone who is committed long term or doesn't get fired so soon lol

I would have been equally as happy with Rod the Bod but he's not going anywhere and probably let the Rangers know as much.

You guys win a few series and now you're all nice and poop, coming in here trying to be cordial. I don't (frank)ing like it.

Yea see my response above. Him not lasting long anywhere as a head coach is my biggest hesitation. Want a coach who is going to be here for the long haul of hopefully many years of contention with this new core.

Those guys are not that common. The only great example I can think of is Trotz and he's had his ups and downs too. Maybe throw Sutter in there too.

Pretty much all NHL coaches have a short shelf life. Most of the ones that don’t and hold their jobs long term should be short term coaches because they suck.

Agreed. He’s a good hard nosed coach that can work well with the talent your team has. I think he’ll be a good fit.

It's also the nature of the market if a guy sticks for a long time. In NYC unless you're winning in the playoffs, preferably including championships you might not last.
