finally got a real hunting dog a few months ago. had many different breeds over the years, purebreds and mutts. this new dog (braque du bourbonnais) was from 11 weeks and to this day the smartest most loyal easiest to train pup I've ever seen. I'll never go back (my wife is in love with him, though he really is my dog) took me 3 days to completely train him where we trust him off leash around crowds of people. he was "whoa" ready and pointing at everything he smelled the first day we got him. it's amazing really. I cant wait to watch him work the fields this fall. going to shoot a lot of birds over this guy for the next decade. still love the other two rescue mutts just as much but hes a different animal. highly recommend a well bred hunting breed.

Question for the group -

I go home on lunch today, grab my mail. In with the envelopes is an unmarked Bank envelope, literally no name, no anything attached, with 4 figures worth of cash inside.

My next door neighbor owns a landscaping company, so it's possible someone left it for him, however how the (frank) would someone get the completely wrong house, and not leave their name or my neighbors name on the envelope?

Should i approach my neighbor? Or sit on it and wait and see if he comes over? I don't want to make it look like I'm trying to steal it but I also shouldn't assume an unmarked envelope is his

- sbroads24

tough call
because at some point something of yours will be in his mailbox

I would expect him to guess what is in the envelope, within 20 dollars if it is his

Problem is he's kind of on the shady side, and if god forbid the mailman had cashed his paycheck and accidentally had it in his mailbag or something bizarre, I don't want to give it away.

I just can't get over someone leaving this much with no name attached, and not knowing where this guy lives if it's indeed his.

It's not like our mailboxes are next to each other, they are on the sides of our houses which are totally separate

- sbroads24

Just ask him if he was expecting a package. Give no information about what it is; make him prove it.

Buy Blow with it.
Have a small intimate party of you and the wife, invite him and her over to participate in the party.
Great way to start a friendship
Tell him how you got the cash for it.
If he starts doing line after line, you know it was his...and he got some value from it

This is obvious, upgrade your property with new landscaping done by your neighbor, pay him with newly found cash, he gets the cash both of your properties value raise, sell the house and turn 4 figure envelope into a 6 figure return off the sweat of your neighbor.

I think you have pretty good intuition. I'm not knocking on every door, but I'd definitely ask the landscaper. Seems logical. If it's his $, he's gonna figure it out most likely.

Here's an analogy: might help, might not.

I kinda like going on the offense by approaching him (Joel armia) instead of playing defense ( tyler meyers)

On another note, an interesting question was posed on the Instigators... which I'll refine to make it more realistic.

If you were starting a team and you could select one from the following options, who would you choose? Edit: pick one of A or B or C

A) MacKinnon / Matthews
B) Makar / Fox
C) Vasilevskiy / Saros

And why?

Spoken like a law enforcement professional.

So the cops can enjoy the hookers and blow! I think not good sir. Lol

How do you think we afford that stuff? With our salary?

A and it's not close. Assuming I'm starting from scratch I think I could create a playoff team within 2 years with those two

a friend of mine played for them back in the early 2000s. I have his old team bag with the same logo.

That's cool as hell. I'm so upset they went defunct. I loved their look and branding.

It does, but leaving that amount of money with no name attached, and not knowing if you’re at the right house isn’t logical. It just doesn’t seem right to me.

You’d think the person who obviously knows this guy well enough to pay in cash in an unmarked envelope would know where he lives.

Just a super odd thing

I’m not so sure. It’s a tough call. Cale makar is the best defenseman in the league right now if you ask me. Dude is unreal. Fox isn’t too shabby either. If I’m starting a team today I’m taking makar over hedman 10/10. That’s be a pretty tough duo to go up against. It’s either the forwards or the defenseman no doubt though.

LOL! No no no, you got it all wrong. Before you get the best landscaping on the block, you go to the casino and attempt to double up. If you play your cards right, that four figure envelope turns into a 5 figure envelope that gets you a 6 figure return and a sweet down payment on your new house. Doin the bull dance. Feelin the flow. Workin it. Workin it.

I laughed the first time he told me, then it grew on me. I asked him for the bag about ten years ago and he handed it right over. It’s definitely a conversation piece.

your uncle has a braque? that's pretty crazy, it's a really rare breed especially here in the states. do you know what breeder he got it from? LRT kennels in PA I'd guess?
I almost went to Idaho but decided I'd import one instead.

Not surprising. Very few breed beagles to hunt anymore. Same with poodles. It gets bred out really fast. Believe it or not as a “breed standard” poodles should be awesome hunting dogs, I’ve seen one that actually was.

I mean, am i wrong?
- ImThatGuy

Absolutely not.

We are terribly exploited and overworked in the Americas. We are indentured servants. Wage slaves. I work in a large factory right now, seriously 5,000 employees... Basically in the past 6 months, I'd say at least 700 have left/quit. They took away attendance and stability bonuses, the starting pay is too low and it's honestly the hardest work I've ever done, all around.

A lot of disgruntled Trump-types who already hate the masks but also... We work in 100-degree temperatures doing assembly and not even close to enough fans. In a full sleeve uniform. With gloves, additional protective sleeves made of steel-threaded industrial strength cotton, a hat, goggles and the face mask.

Can't say I'm a fan of the masks, especially since I'm vaccinated.

We have parts shortages, labor shortages, a volatile market for our product...

I was talking to a co-worker and I said, these people in this place are too dumb to realize that if we unionized from the inside right now we would have the company by not just the balls, but the entire family jewel package and a finger-blast up the arse and what are they going to do, fire 4,000 people all at once and hire a bunch of scabs off the street when they can't even get 95% of the work-force to show up for the entire week, and we've only been working 4-day weeks as it is...

Halt production, unionize, make our demands, call the company's bluff.

Americans are such a disappointment.

And we work our entire liuves just to take a trip to Gisneyland, the Grand Canyon and one of: New York City, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and an additional trip to Las Vegas or Atlantic City.

The price of freedom is too damn high.

They’re not really that expensive and there’s only a couple/few thousand on the planet right now. That’s why I was surprised your uncle has one. Maybe he has a Braque du Francais or Braque du Auvergne. Both rare as well and both awesome hunting dogs.
