I didn't think having a puppy would be so much work I'm so tired.

And "somebody" gets sleep 😑

Jeremy white saying that granato will be the next sabres coach.

So based on that eichel 100% gone

I honestly thought that if we signed a respectable coach. Eichel would change his mind.

I do not think feeling that the islanders are a good team, while colorado, vegas and tampa are great teams is dissing the islanders
- homiedclown

it was a spirited debate last night...

isles are the rodney dangerfield in that group...in no way shape or form are they as talented as those teams, that's not even up for debate...

the debate comes down one side saying that they're winning series' while the other side says the opposition, for whatever reason(s), are losing series' to the isles

with the way this is unfolding, donnie meatballs seems to be the frontrunner...it shouldn't be definitive yet...not until the col/vgk series is over

they remind me a lot of the sabres teams in the mid/late 90's

isn’t this more about his injury and less about the coach? I don’t see this relationship salvageable and doing things just to make Jack happy is a recipe for more disaster.

Toronto threw all sorts of money at a respectable coach. How'd that work out?

Any real chance that Colorado would fire their coach because of the flame out that is occurring?

i think they have more speed and skill than those sabres teams, which is a necessity in the league these days, but yeah, they have that aggressiveness and dogged determination

i doubt it...but this would be the third year in a row dropping out in the second round and this year they were a close second to tampa on the cup-contender list...and there's this from the denver post from june 6, which was prior to their loss at home in game 5:

Some interesting offers, some people aren't gonna be happy with these returns.

I want to party with Hunter Biden. If he was a republican, you guys would be jacking off over this crap.

What an absolute comedy gold mine here.

- BeadyEyedDouche

What an absurd take, like all of your rantings yesterday. A lot of us were unconcerned about Hunter working for an energy company in another country but really, really pissed off that Ivanka and Jared Trump were able to be employed by our federal government and get paid as "senior advisors" for 4 years, especially after Jared's security clearance application had to be "amended" for falsehoods twenty times, and was finally rammed through at the orders of the orange fascist pig in charge at the time. I bet you'd be ok with Chelsea Clinton and her hubby in the same roles if Hilary had won, no?

Oh, and we got to pay for Secret Service details to follow Donny Jr all over the globe so he could kill giraffes in an effort to prove he's a Man and make his Dad like him. Brings a salty tear to the eye.

And we're just as pissed that Ivanka was able to get multiple Chinese manufacturing patents, which are notoriously hard to get, just 3 days after Daddy announced trade negotiations with China. "Make America Great By Making Stuff in China" should be the motto.

And you Kamala Harris take is even more suspect. Worst action by a a President or VP ever??? Pu-leeease. Maybe a sitting President wondering out loud during a pandemic if we should be drinking bleach doesn't move the needle for you?

Maybe your schtick was meant as parody, or sarcasm? Maybe you're just hangry?

Are you:

A. On your meds?
or
B. Off your meds?

Just delete your (fourth) account, for fuks sake. You could just tell everyone, without a shred of evidence, it was stolen and 30% of the country will believe you. Just be prepared for those 30% to all be complete douchbags.

I mean if Vegas can fire Gallant despite their teams being rock solid, I can see a world where Bednar gets let go.

I don't think this is what was being said...I could be wrong as I did breeze through the comments before my 1st cup of coffee though.

What I heard was the NYI enjoyed a higher than normal scoring percentage through a combination of luck and opposing goalies subpar play.

A quick look at the Jsles Hockey Reference page seems to bear this out..increasing their Shot % from 7.9% during the regular season to 12.0% ... that is an increase of 50% in efficiency, rather dramatic for whatever reason one chooses to classify it. Facing a SV% of .921 (1.0 - .079) during regular season, then suddenly facing SV% of .880 (1.0 -.12) in the PO seems counterintuitive.

Btw, Isles SV% dropped from .935 in the regular season to .929 in the playoffs...a decline of ~5%...seems justified with the improved competition in the PO's

Frame it they way you wish.

i don't get it...they're fortunate because they put themselves in position for high danger chances and score on them? Or capitalize on turnovers? Or finish on breakaways?

isn't that what the lightning do?

if they win, there's always an excuse as to why they win and if they manage to beat the lightning which admittedly is a very tall task, it'll be because something weird happened...

The Isles and Bruins series were pretty evenly matched, I don’t think Cassidy did the Bruins any favours by continuing to play an injured Rask.

I do believe though the Isles were vastly outplayed by the Penguins and if Jarry was anything close to average it would be Pittsburgh in the final 4 as they had the best team in the East this year.

They raised prices for Blue Jays games.

F*** that.

$75 wasn't worth it for the first game, No way 100 is now worth it for the same seat.

Crazy how if they just had kept Marc and found him a serviceable 2nd they might have another cup or 2

this is the last i've got on the isles:

adam gretz twitter

"The Islanders are ... I don’t even know. You can’t call them lucky or unworthy because they have done this three years in a row. They are good. But I also do not think anybody else can duplicate what they do the way they do it. If you try, you’re probably gonna lose.

They are the most unique team in the NHL."
