Drama over "last few years"?

Can't see him accepting less than 4.5 for 3 years or 5 x 2 years.

Bruins offer less and he'll either retire (if health as bad as you suggest) or easily find another team to pay him the 4.5x3 or 5x2.

Rask has made it clear, he is a Bruin or he's done. Krejci has also said he would love to spend his entire career on one team. I think both do what's best for the team and take a significant hometown discount. Rask's worth on the market is not going to be overly high. He is slated for some sort of surgery and has shown a general "disinterest" in interviews not long ago...those are going to be red flags for other clubs...and there's the whole, "can't win the big one" label.

Still wondering what drama you refer to that lasted 3 years...

Guessing he's referring to the mid-season leave of absence he took a couple of years ago. Then the comments made early on in the bubble and then leaving. Then the repeated injury issue this year and now probable surgery. All those add up to lessen his market value.

If Rask and Krejci wants to stay ok, but on the Bruins term. We can't get hooked with bad contracts. I would not give them more than 4M$ per season for max 2 years.

Let Swayman or Vladar shine.

Use the money left wisely.

Keep the draft picks and hope for the best.

Boston is still a playoff team next year. We have to get in and there hope for the best like the Habs this year. It's a young teams league.

Build around Pastrnak, McAvoy and Swayman. Many teams envy the Bruins for having studs like Pasta and McAvoy.

Let's go !

Not lasted 3 years. I would say an accumulation of his entire career in Boston, but highlighted in the last 3 years.

Tuukka has been an elite goalie for many years, and they wouldn’t have got to where they did without him. I would say he has had difficulty winning the big game at times when it really mattered.

He has been a head case along the way and the comments made during the bubble and his decision to leave the team. Hard to fault a guy for the reasons he gave though. He seems to always have an injury at opportune times. It all leads to a dramatic cloud surrounding him.

At the end of the day, I would be fine bringing Tuukka back because I don’t know life without him and Bos could come to really regret moving on from him.

It needs to be a reasonable dollar because at his age he can’t play a full season anymore. He shouldn’t have played game 6. I’d like between 3.75-5 per for 2 years. Holtby got 5 mil so you would think it would be at least that. ugh... But a hometown discount I can see to 4.5.

Yeah I had said $3-4M per year for Rask and Krejci but I wouldn't necessarily have an issue with stretching to $5M but only for 2 years max. Even so, I would still push hard for less than $5M and I'm real comfortable with $4M or less.
