This is the Lightning's last kick at the can with this roster. I don't expect them to be an easy out. The Isles have a lot of game tape from last year's matchup to watch and that series went six games with a weird game one. All things being equal this year, I expect this series to go seven games with a few overtimes thrown in. Tampa is on a mission and the Isles are solid and out for revenge.

The weird game one last playoffs was the islanders finishing a game seven then immediately hopping on a plane flying between time zones and playing game one against a well rested Tampa ten hours later. That’s what happened with that one. The Lightning got a gimme game last year. Tampa is an incredible team but this should be a battle if we keep playing the way we have been.

Should be another good one, but man the Lightning are so deep and talented with the best goalie in the world. The Isles will make it hard on them for sure but at the end of the day I thinks its Tampa in 6 again

The Lightning are like a team possessed.

They flew from Toronto to Toronto? And game 7 was September 5th and game 1 was September 7th.

The conference finals and Finals were in Edmonton. They had to Fly on the 6th to Edmonton and played the next day

Oh I see. I figured it was all in Toronto cause center of hockey universe or whatever. Either way should have beat the flyers in 5.

Hockeyislife's opinion notwithstanding, Vegas is now a heavy favorite to beat Montreal, and go on to win the Cup. Isles with a 36% chance of beating Tampa. Could be worse...

How many underdogs have won series so far I wonder...

obviously the Isles twice, Habe were dogs twice, Vegas was dog vs. Avs. Jets were underdog vs Oilers.

Looking back at all 12 series.. I think the favorite in each series is 5-7

Good point. I think whoever calculates these odds bases it on regular season records, stats, etc. which we have all come to learn is a different animal than the playoffs.

Lol. You're whining about a missed call from over 40 years ago. 90% of Flyers fans don't even watch hockey from October through March. Being from the area, it's always comical to hear that play come up as though the Flyers were a lock to score the next goal and then win game seven. Pete Peters was a catastrophe waiting to happen. There was no way Philly was winning that series.

This comment is so misguided in so many ways that all I can do is laugh. 90% of Flyers fans don't even watch hockey from October thru March??? WTF does that even mean? So I'll leave you with this!
I do have to offer my congrats however. You actually wrote an entire paragraph where absolutely every single thing you said was 100% wrong. I really didn't think that was possible. Thanks for the chuckle!!

Bubble hockey all looked to same to me and I didn’t realize they went to Edmonton. Figured it would have been in Toronto so someone could be awarded the cup there since it’s been so long.

I remember our impeccable source, Wildschwein, warned us about Hall, so I favored Palms.

Yeah thought it happened. I was pretty pissed I thought it was a completely unnecessary scheduling thing without obviously knowing the reasoning behind it. The islanders were completely spent that game and competed the rest.

I am going with Montreal. I am leaning towards 4 or 5 game destruction of Vegas. Not changing my mind at all.

Yep. Most Flyer fans pay no atrention to hockey until post trade deadline. Hell you've got friggin Morganti and Jones on WIP and they hardly ever talk hockey. They talk more about the Iggles in March than the Flyers. The WFC is full of nothing but business specials and kids who couldn't name more than 10 players around the league.
Your UN should be PhillyTapOut as it's more representative of the team this time of year. Happy trolling, ya skidmark

OK. I see two teams that play a somewhat similar style, but Vegas does it better. Maybe Montreal gets a slight edge in goal. That's it. Vegas should win rather easily, unless Montreal gets the ref advantage of the Saints.

Who knows maybe Montreal has some magic this season. It happens but this is the first team outside that weak North division they’re facing. Price is capable of stealing a series and MAF is perfectly capable of imploding

Oh, so you're one of those losers that still listens to that waste of space that is Philly sports talk radio? That's about all I really need to know about you. Like those stations matter at all. Bunch of ingrates that have the combined IQ's of giraffes. Plenty of people pay attention to the Flyers from October thru March, but real hockey people would NEVER call into those worthless stations that only talk about the Beagles and Sucksers!! Thanks again! Although I will agree(finally with something you say) that it is mostly corporate heads at those games now cause they've priced the real fans out. We had season tickets from 1985-2005 and gave them up after the work stoppage. Haven't been to a game since the 2012 playoffs against the Pens. I still watch on TV, but until they put a team on the ice that exudes at least some excitement we ain't payin that kind of cash.

True. That's why I gave Montreal a slight edge in goal. I just think Vegas has gotten used to better competition, and should overpower the Habs. But you're right, in a 7-game series anything can happen, and Price could stand on his head and steal it.
