Oh fück off, Michael.
Nylander makes 4M less than Mitch the Bïtch, yet he had 5 goals these playoffs. Which matches Loser Mitch’s career total.
Playoff-No-Show Marner is gone, either this off-season or next. |

Maybe if Perimeter Willy shot the puck over the glass instead of scoring from in front of the net, he’ll get more respect. |

Leafs are really pissing away a lot of talented years by sucking in the playoffs.
Good for the Habs for finding a way to win when they were clearly sh!t for the majority of the game.

I feel like his classic copy/paste blogs were better.
Perhaps you're right.
Sidenote: It's true that Pietrangelo is pretty damn good. |

Playoffs are hand to hand combat.
Bloodied Cory Perry standing at the gate greeting his winning team mates as they exit their overtime victory. Cary Price not even bothering to acknowledge the win as he starts his prep for the next playoff game. These guys are road warriors. Huge hockey hearts and a will to win. A few young guys with speed and skill. But, make no mistake it is the veteran warriors who are leading this team.
Every time somebody writes a column about the Leafs adding more skill...I want to puke.
Skill looks great in the regular season. Offers great entertainment.
But, the playoffs is about heart and the will to win. All the high end skill teams, except Tampa, are gone. Yet, remember, at the trade deadline last year even Tampa added grit to get them to our Holy Grail. |

Incorrect Mike. Leafs would have still had to get rid of a Top 4 Contract to make that happen and guarantee it would have been the player who played the best for us in Nylander. So instead of losing to the Habs in 7 we would have lost to them in 5 because no one could score! Defence can be fortified by one more Stay at Home D Man piece but this offseason the same problems arise again.
Bottom 6 scoring and Goaltending?
Rielly and Kerfoot are and should be traded before expansion for that big game player while Toronto should look into getting a guy like David Savard. Cheaper deal than Hamilton's but is extremely effective in his own end like Brodie |

Or, as others have noted, Cary Price has dominated.

But the kids want their shiny new toy. Let’s run with the 21 start goalie and a third line made up of Mik and Engvall that will be “tough to play against”.

Yes! I think it is time.
So, you are getting ready to go into playoff battle. Which Leaf warrior will the players follow? Who can carry them to persevere, will push them to exceed themselves and give even more when they may have nothing left to give?

Thanks, Don. I'm still waiting for an original thought from you. You could at least give him credit. Or you could just keep ripping him off. |

Grow up! There is nothing new. Don Cherry stole his themes from Homer and the Iliad. Everything we need to know about courage and triumph are already well understood.
True winners have brooded over their losses. They have learned from their defeat. And they have looked within themselves to find change. Losers are whiners, blamers and snivelers who want someone else to take responsibility for failure.
You are entirely incorrect, if you believe the Leafs can triumph without a change in character and leadership. The problem is in the dressing room, behind the bench and the front office.
