Stick with Lehner until he loses.

First of all, Vegas was not "on the ropes." Good grief.

Secondly, Lehner stays in until he plays poorly.

between MAF's gaffe on Friday, PDB demonstrably losing faith in him and Lehner's play in game 4 it's a no brainer.

Personally, I don't think you should have gone away from MAF for Game 4, but now that DeBoer has done exactly that, and Lehner played well and the Knights won, I think the net is now Lehner's the remainder of this series barring injury or a horrifically bad performance by Lehner in Game 5 back in Vegas.

Im sure the same defenders of MAF in Pittsburgh will be out in droves to fully support him. It stinks to lose your spot in the middle of the playoffs. But Ek also forgot that in 2013, the Pens pulled Fleury in favor of Tomas Vokoun and went on a run to conference finals before losing to Boston (goalie didnt matter in that series).

They will blame everyone from the parking lot attendant to the beer vendor--it will be the fault of everyone other than MAF. If MAF doesnt want this to keep happening, then quit giving up the softest possible goals at the worst possible times and coaches wont feel the need to yank you.

lets say vegas goes all the way with lehner...
how many cups will Flower have won as the guy that got replaced halfway through the playoffs?
and will history remember that or will we just look at how many cups he won?
Flower is probably a good dude but... his "spectacular" save to win the cup against Detroit is the most overrated highlight ever. He was in position to make the save, square to the shooter for the most part and still did a showy dive to block the shot. Would've loved for that one to go in

PDB has never really shown faith in Fleury. He just rode the hot hand.
I almost wanted the Knights to loose just to show how stupid this move is.

It is possible that Fleury is fatigued, mentally more so than physically and that was the goal of this move, but I doubt it.

IF it was was me, I would go back to Fleury. PDB is likely to not even dress him.

they weren't on the ropes going into the game but they certainly were with 10 mins left in the third. if Montreal takes a 3-1 series lead it's probably over.

i think the move was made because PDB was worried about how Vegas would respond with Fleury back in net. it's not his first gaffe this postseason and they didn't respond well in OT on Friday. players can say all the right things but their on-ice composure betrays their words every time.

the irony is that his team still did lay an egg last night and it was Lehner who ended up bailing them out long enough for them to sneak a softie by Price.

The math is pretty simple on this one... MAF gave up a 3-0 lead when the Habs started strong in Game 2, and single-handedly blew the 2-1 lead he was given in Game 3, when Vegas was playing strong. A loss in Game 4 puts them behind the 8-ball, so DeBoer rolls the dice on Lehner... who didn't give up a single goal even though the Habs started strong again in Game 4, and kept Vegas in the game long enough for them to win 2-1 and tie the series.

Lehner just earned the right to keep starting playoff games, at least until he fails.

its now a 3 game series...not a lot of time to get it wrong. If there is any concern about Fleury's or Lehner's feelings, Vegas deserves to lose.

Chris Lee is the best thing to have happened to Vegas, not a Habs fan but this is making out to be some terrible hockey .

Not even close to square to the shooter... one of the best d-man of all time taking the shot too

Should we watch Patty Kane score maybe the softest goal of all time to win a cup?

The Knights didn't seem the same last night. They put only 21 shots on Price, compared to 45 in the game before (which went 11 minutes longer, but that doesn't come close to explaining the difference). In the two games before that, they put 30 and 31 shots on Price. More than that, they just didn't seem to me to have their usual spark. It could've been because they were rattled by the way that they lost Game 3, but I wouldn't discount the possibility that they simply play better in front of Fleury (which is also supported by the regular season stats). I think that I'd go back to Fleury in the hope that that's true.

Fleury might make the HOF due to his longevity. He's had a long quality career but very inconsistent compared to someone like Lundqvist or Luongo.

Fleury stands on his head and puts together a Vezina caliber season

Fleury stands on his head and beats the Wild when the Knights struggled to score all series

Fleury stands on his head and beats #1 seed Colorado 4 games to 1

Fleury wins game 1 against Montreal, Loses game 2 when Vegas scores 2 on 31 shots, Makes 1 gaffe that ties the game in game 3 before Vegas lets a 2 on 0 breakaway in OT after FAILING to score more than 2 goals on 45 shots

I won't even get into 2016 when Fleury STOLE the series vs the Capitals and was yanked after 1 so/so game against the Sens and never saw the net again

Guy gets ZERO respect
