I have fond memories of watching Kurvers at UMD in the 80's. Then following his NHL career. When he came to the Wild to be the Asst GM and run the Baby Wild, I was just tickled pink..."one of us" was making a mark, and for the home town team to boot. Today is a sad day and hockey lost a great person. Prayers and well wished to the Kurvers family, may he rest in peace. |

Tom wasn’t in NJ very long but he was a legit part of our first playoff run in 1987-88 and helped establish the Devils as a legit team and not just an expansion joke. I have fond memories of him from my childhood and when I really grew to love the game. RIP Tom Kurvers. |
