Can you do next 5 cup teams to see if it still plays out like your saying
- Stayin alive

He actually thinks I am trying to "spin it" 😂 through the rudimentary notion of fractions. He STILL hasn't understood what 10 of the 25 critical players (of his own choosing) coming from a pool that is 50 times smaller than the non -top-5 pool means regarding the relative chances.

The light bulb will never go on because the circuitry is kaput.

Oh believe me, I get it. You're making the mistake in thinking that I don't understand how you're trying to spin it after the results weren't what you thought it would be. The facts have betrayed you.

Good night. See you tomorrow.

you cant plan or quantify team building to rely on absurd consistent tending like this for a prolonged enough period to go on this kind of run

Never will…. Now you see why I say mjl is bill? Driving hits. Because no one can be like this. I mean truly amazing
- Stayin alive

No, no, Bill is a smart guy.

Re MJL, no one gives a crap about dumb internet arguments. But having seen the guy for 14+ years, I am seriously and genuinely concerned about his mental well-being. This behavior has gone to a stage where it is frankly of concern for his health.

Again, well said. Too rare an event. Denominator is too small.

This is true story… year ago I used to help tutor rough kids that had little and I mean little education … 16 year olds that had to use fingers to add 2+2.

Omg what a save price!!!!
Anyways never was I as frustrated with those kids than reading mjl and thinking this is a semi intelligent human that either can’t see basic things or blindly chooses to admit or ignore things. Like I could almost always find a way to show a different way that 2+2 =4. With mjl there is no anything. He can’t be real. Just can’t. I refuse to believe it. Literally year after year after year of his act.

dont get me wrong. ill fully admit its said with not an insignificant amount of envy.

also, not to take anything away from montreal. they are a smart, disciplined, balanced team that busts their ass. however, this is bordering on the absurd. certainly, if you are a habs fan and they win the cup, you wouldnt (or should you) put an asterisk next to their names on the cup. its still not a model i would think you look at and think "yes, this is feasible to emulate". if you want your guys to play a tight structure and commit to certain aspects of their style that are commendable sure, but this isnt a blueprint.

okay but hear me out.

first. i dont think you can just make a conscious choice to get a tender of that quality. theyre rare for a reason.

secondly, even once you have one, its improbable for anyone (hasek or not) to be this locked in for an entire playoff run year after year. i could be wrong, but without looking it up, didnt hasek only win two cups (neither of those with the sabres. not being facetious, but did those sabres teams just not try hard enough?)

dont get me wrong. a stud goalie will help anyones chances. but i dont think its as simple as seeing this and saying yeah lets do that.

You’ll see. Young fast skilled. Defensively solid. Always a solid effort. Great goalie playing great. Only gonna get better. Suzuki no joke. Kotkanimi no joke. Caulfield no joke. It’s a young mans game

oh a billion percent youre right about that. but thats my point. even the best of the best need to go into that "zone" even by their own elite standards for it to totally just take an otherwise decent but not great team and have them absolutely lay waste to the playoff bracket.

in terms of replication, this is like wanting to become financially well off and seeing a lottery winner and saying yes. that is a repeatable process and i would like to model myself after that. a little bit of hyperbole, but still.

I didn't get you wrong. This is not a feasible model.

Having said that, one should note Habs are systematically outplaying Vegas. Its not that Price is turning the tide. He is just pushing it further.

Honestly regarding hasek… best ever bar none. I can’t even tell you how many games 1 goal or less on him. Save after save. “We’re not worthy “chant all night long at the old aud. Sabres horrible team around him. Had no $ to spend except around ‘95 and injuries did that team in. Dude can’t even tell you how many times players looking to rafters in amazement didn’t score on him. Nightly and I mean nightly no joke.

2nd point yes you can absolutely predict getting and hitting on these goalies. Invest the 1st round pick because teams won’t but only for top goalie prospect in draft class like my goalie drafting theory. Lol. Like earlier tonight when someone said vasy was picked 19th didn’t count toward a top 5 pick. Yeah because dummies don’t draft top goalie prospects in 1st round even sometimes. Dumb. He was stud prospect like price. Or flower. Why the hell not pick them? So dumb. And they come about every 5 years.

Pit was in town Francis to lemiux to jagr back to the point around and around it goes on pp. I’ll never forget I just looked at my brother and was like wtf they’re toying with them. And of course in the net it goes. Lmao. Not saying Montreal is pit just example of seeing it. Price I’m that zone. Montreal gonna be a beast over next 10 years.

Yeah I think habs give tb all they can handle but I truly believe speed and elite skill almost always win out. Think hasek vs Dallas in ‘99. Even hasek COULDNT win out in end. But never know. I just want tb karma for cap cheating
