The flyers have punched their ticket every other year for how many years now, the just get a ticket schtick does not hold here Bill. This Canadiens team actually plays with some heart, this flyers team has none of that. We can’t even put together a 60 minute effort in the regular season, you could count on one hand how many times this team has put together a full game this past season (and you wouldn’t be raising more than 1 or two fingers) |

Interesting. So this is a case where the Flyers did not draft in the first round with the BPA philosophy. |

@Claudefather. The Canadiens have been dominated for most the games. Price has carried them. The Leafs were all over them in that series, same with Vegas |

in 2010 when Philly made it to within 2 wins of the Cup, Philly barely squeaked in as the 8th seed |

Must be all luck, who is this James Tanner? Is Carey price not on their team? Why do you think he is the highest paid goalie, because he’s bad? |

It’s all about heart & grit with Montreal & the Flyers have none of that |

You should watch the games instead of repeating the same bs that some lazy media membres like to blabber again and again. It's much more easy to say that «it's only because of Price» than to really analyze the game... but anyway, Thanks Bro! It's comments like this one that made our opponents think that they were sooooo better than us, that they should win easily. «Leafs in 3» they were saying. The Jets were «too big, too fast and rest» they were saying. The Golden Knights were simply «too strong» they were saying, «The best in the league», although they only played Colorado and a bunch of subpar teams all season long... When it didn't happen like they tought it should, they went frustrated and went out of their way. It helped us beat the Leafs, than the Jets, hopefully tomorrow the Golden Knights... and maybe Tampa if they arrive with the same mind set. So keep on commenting like that please: The Price is right, Jesus Price, it's only Price!

Last season embarrassment is all on Fletcher. He took easier route, took the risk and eventually didn't do his job well.
If he is doing the same/similar this off-season, he should not only be shown the door, but literally be kicked out.
Flyers franchise and proud fun-base doesn't have time, some of us years left to deal with this. Flyers stand for something and we should expect a lot. |

This was all about the expansion draft. Chucky got fired for how poorly he handled it in Minn, doesn't want that to happen again. |

I am not saying you are wrong but Montreal has looked good, sometimes really good, when playing against most anybody. Shot attempts may not go their way but how many of those shots are high danger ones?
What I have noticed about MTL is that they play as a team and they have a fantastic aggressive forecheck. They another teams as soon as they touch the puck.
Plus, I mean.. they aheb Cole caufield.... The savior of all things hockey!
I won't lie.. CC has looked really good and has a hell of a cannon but I am still very hockey with the York pickz although some on this board disagree with the choice |

The Habs work their asses off, are relatively healthy, have a top D pair playing monster minutes and playing extremely well and Price is covering the few mistakes they make.
It’s a winning formula for going deep in the playoffs. |

Correct ! All that matters. First 10 minutes in last nights game, the Habs did 3 things I loved. Huge forecheck, chased down every puck. Took hits to make plays. It carried through the rest of the game. I don’t think we would fair well against them in this years playoffs. |

No it's not all on Fletcher. It's also on the coaching staff and the players. I'd like to know what deal he had available and what he turned down to add a defenseman to try and replace Niskanen. That would paint a better picture.

Do you think he actually believes the stuff he writes or is it just a gimmick? In his eyes the NHL should be played as a rotisserie fantasy league, whoever finishes with the best possession and expected goals wins the cup. |

As someone who interacted with Tanner many times, yes he absolutely believes what he writes. He has no understanding of analytics and how to use them. No real knowledge of the game yet somehow he has managed to get gigs as a blogger. Only on the internet.

Depends on your definition of dominance. The teams with the highest Corsis in the post season are almost all the teams that have been eliminated. Also teams falling behind in the playoffs will tend to have higher Corsis.
If you look at high danger chances, it is pretty even and if there is an edge in the series, it belongs to Habs.

I agree. They're winning 3-2. |
