Now imagine if they didn't prematurely blow all their cap space on Hayes, JVR, Ellis etc kowtowing to the bias for action committee... - Tomahawk
So if Twarynski is really the Seattle pick, after bringing in Ellis, Fletcher basically has no money for free agency? |

Idk, he never showed any type of drive with the Flyers. Always was just a monotone, emotionless guy pretty much. Didn't put much effort in off or on the ice for the Flyers. I feel like he just was always used to succeeding his whole life and didn't adapt to the struggles of the NHL well and he can't take full responsibility for it. I couldn't care less really how he feels. - Richieattack18
Totally agree. The Flyers were super patient and careful with him. Not only did they not get value for him, it can be argued they got negative value. After waiting through delays for him to return to the ice, he was not able to keep pace with other forwards in the league and he complains he wasn't getting top 6 minutes ? He is now talking about finally getting the opportunity to train. He was cleared to work out during the migraine issue, maybe not the type of top caliber training required. Why is that the Flyers fault ? I mean we could use another center, it's not like there wasn't opportunity here. If you can't get good numbers on the 3rd line, why would the player deserve top 6 minutes ? It was just a narrative for him to shift the blame and get a chance elsewhere.

Capfriendly showing they have a little over 9M. They have to re-sign Hart and Sanheim. And a backup. |

Pretty much. Capped out and uncompetitive. Kids better all take a big step forward. |

I expect that they'd need to really sweeten the deal for someone to take Jake. Ie picks and prospect and retains $. He might still do it though.
I am also surprised at the leaks of who's taken. |

If they can't announce trades until the freeze is over then maybe we will understand some of these picks. |

He has like $10M. Has to bring back Sanheim and get a Hart contract done. But outside of moving a big contract, there is not a lot of space. |

That’s why I don’t buy it. They’ve got to be trying to leverage teams into giving up more still. - hereticpride

Giordano drafted.
And Morgan Geekie from the Canes. Wow they passed on Bean lol.
And they passed on RyJo and Duche.
Donskoi and Soucy taken. - Tomahawk
Makes me wonder if they have a pocket deal with Hamilton and are just waiting to announce it later so they could grab Geekie (size, speed and is developing well).
Shocked it wasnt Bean, but seems like Francis may have a few cards up his sleeve and is waiting so he can grab an extra player without burning his spot

Unfortunately there’s no trade that will make the Flyers selection make sense.
I’m guessing Carolina threw Seattle a pick to not select Bean. |
