I think there’s still a chance that when Francis said cap room was their biggest asset, he meant it. Just because no big contracts were lost now doesn’t mean the plan wasn’t to draft a very inexpensive team and have the cap room to take on other deals. The actual team could look very different. I imagine a scenario like Charlie Day at the board trying to connect players with teams and being the 3rd team in a ton of 3-team trades.

it has tons of RFA/UFA's for next year too. he seems to be weaponizing available cap space for the future signing of FA's so maybe they are taking a tank team, trying to win the right to draft Shane Wright and then sign a ton of FA's next year.
