Your kid lives in CHAZ? Was he one of the cheerful citizens burning businesses and cop cars? Very nice place, I'm sure.
- Letterkenney
Chaz is down the street. Def not one of the hoodlums doing all the nonsense; he's totally corporate.

Good lord. Just wait a couple weeks before the sky is falling. A bunch of chicken littles. - peesinwind
Agree…let’s see what the next little while brings. Right now their team is not very good. They have a lot of cap space to change that at the expense of bailing out some other cash strapped teams. |

I can see a Tarasenko for Jake + significant sweetener move. But no major UFA signings. - PT21
We shouldn’t have to sweeten anything on that deal. 3 surgeries, hasn’t played much in last two years, DOESNT WANNA BE THERE. They aren’t trading from a position of strength. I say 1 for 1 |

I agree to a point, but that extra year would come into play. |

Wouldn’t that be the trade off? Yeah they take an extra yeah of a healthier player and lose the injured player that wants out. |

odd that the Kraken only selected the 3 minimum required goalies - no deals there for 1B for any team |

That depends how badly they want to move him. It could come down to that. If Tarasenko flat out refuses to play for them they’re going to have to make an ugly trade. |

We'll know a lot more once the trade freeze lifts. Things will probably happen quickly. I'm glad the Flyers didn't lose a higher cap hit player. Keep them from getting into more trouble. Sign the RFA's and drop the puck. Ready to play. Doubt that will be the case, but that would be good with me. |

The Islanders just lost a guy that makes a high dollar amount….other teams might be in a better position to acquire Taresenko….another words there may not be any “deals”. The 3rd year at the end of a 8 year deal….at 8.25…is a big number and won’t be ignored by any team trading for Jake. |

This roster is better than it was just 10 weeks ago. (+/- a back up goalie). Had we addressed Niskanen’s departure like this prior to last season, we would have had more success. Too many goals against. I’m not saying the product is finished, but we are closer to where we ended the prior season. |

id like 2 more changes Another D and forward. I'Ve said all along i think they need a culture change. 4-5 new starters would be a good start

Tell him pasta is 100% not allowed during the offseason and hope he decides to retire from the NHL

My idea of a culture change is going to take place with the growth of young players. I want to win. Don't care what the culture is when they do win.

Tarasenko doesn't seem like a Lou kind of player. Too much risk there. Too much money. They could have just kept Lee there. |

Wasn't pasta - pierogies. Not much pasta in the cuisine Jake grew up with likely. |

I still get the sense Fletch isn’t quite done yet. We will need another goalie for sure. I still think there’s a bit more, then just that. |

If they suddenly raise the salary cap by $20M you might just have a chance.

I still think Ghost is movable….maybe even JVR if need be, but that might involve some retention.
Edit: I know that word “retention” isn’t a popular one…lol |

I am wondering how Ellis will adapt to being on the ice with a bunch of forwards and a partner Dman who are on average significantly worse defensively than their counterparts in Nashville (except Couts for Johansen, ofc).

Last year was an outlier. Can't ignore it but it's not a clear indication of this team. The season before, the Flyers were a significantly better defensive team than Nashville. Nashville in 18/19 had a GA/GP of 2.59. In 19/20 they had a 3.10 GA/GP. Varies from year to year.
