I am in the minority though I would like to see them acquire Risto. Could be a potential long term piece. He was once a consistent 40 + point guy as well.

Sneaky 40+ guy huh. Looks like it’s a lot of PP though. Not sure if he’d be seeing that time here.

Well Ivan needs to be removed off the top unit. That is as clear as day. Sadly the coaches do not see it.

Either way he is a guy I take a shot on.

I’d rather have Larsson. 5 for $25M

If the same PP structure is in place, it would be most beneficial to have a left shot since the PP runs through G. Streit and Kimmo played that role perfectly, ghost as well until he was broken. Ellis and Risto don’t really fix that. And if they do change id suspect Ellis over Risto.

I really don’t think we should be locking a guy up for that long and term, whether it’s him or someone else. Already have Provy and Ellis long term with Sanheim knocking on the door. I’d like more of a plug situation and let one of the kids battle for a spot in York zamula

There are still two more spots for young players.

There’s only so much cap room to go around, what happens when York needs a deal after next season? Even Farabee G coots, we have a ton of contracts we need to sign. Locking in 5 years and $25M to larssson would be ill advised IMO.

That is just it. Who were these sources? I would bet money that the "source" was a reporter speculating (as you said) and they all just did this confirmation circle jerk never bothering to actually confirm anything.

I wouldnt care if they reported it as "possible shoulder injury", "possible surgery".......

But they reported that he had surgery.

Yes its just an athlete, but in the larger picture, the media does this kind of thing all the time with actual IMPORTANT things.

My trust level for the media is right up there with gas station sushi and cocktails made by Bill Cosby.

York’s contract is of little concern. He has no leverage. Farabee will get a bridge. They will have to make hard decisions on G and Coots.

Per Frank Seravelli Larsson to the Kraken 4x$4mil. Apparently they are close with Oleksiak as well.

Don’t be nervous. We can’t control it. It was always a pipe dream that they’d select a big contract guy alone. But the Tarasenko thing has teeth.

I mean what do you want me to say? That’s exactly the situation. We don’t need to debate for pages about it. York and Farabee are RFA’s. G is going to have decide how badly he wants to stay in Philly. Coots is going to get a good contract.

It’s pretty straightforward.

If the Kraken are expressing interest in Rubstov its just them trying to get leverage against the Flyers for a trade imo. No way they actually waste a selection on him.

Could be a wild next few days for us and the whole NHL. I’m excited and nervous. I have faith in Fletcher unlike a large portion of this fan base.
- arichardson22

My issue with management isn’t necessarily management’s fault. The trade for Ryan Ellis is the perfect example. I like Ryan Ellis. I grew up in Windsor and watched him play juniors there. He was both Captain of the Windsor Spitfires and world junior Canadian team. He hung out at my local restaurant/bar, so I saw him a few times. Seems like he carries himself respectfully. My issue is years of being told to be patient and we’re going young by Hextall. Making less deals. Just to go in the opposite direction under Fletcher. We gave up two very young talents before their careers began. If Fletcher is going for it, the next move better be a big one that helps the present and the future.
