Good on CF for not buckling to the trade pressure. - Tomahawk

No help from Seattle on cap space, this sucks! Fletcher has his work cut out for him to free cap space, otherwise he will be very limited in what he can do this off season to improve this club. |

That's why the Flyers protected NAK.
Seattle was sniffing around for a cheap contract and got it. |

That is one way to look at it, but man this makes it hard to improve this team. There should be a trade market for JVR, no doubt about it. And Ghost should have a limited trade market also. Jake will be harder to off load but hopefully the fact that the Flyers leaked out they want to move on from Jake means they have some deal in place. |

Seattle not taking Tarasenko. - Flyers1218

This is how it was always going to be. Pie in the sky dreaming that Seattle was going to gift any team the ultimate luxury of cap space. |

I get that, but wouldn't they want to actually build a good team as well?

Shouldn't be too hard to hit the floor. Just with Tanev, McCann, Dreidger, Oleksiak and Larsson... they're probably a quarter of the way there already. |

Probably a power move. Francis can take small contracts and make teams make deals for bigger contracts or Sign Free Agents

They will possibly now make trades for players and get assets back in return. Plenty of players available. |

When do they need to hit the floor, at the start of the season?

They might do via Free agency, they need to be at the cap floor by tonight |
|

Francis seems to be very interested in keeping cap space available(if these twitter feeds are accurate).
But for who.....FA? Trade? Expansion pick from another team? A big move could be coming. |

As Admiral Odama would have said on the Battlestar Galactica
Frack them Krakens..
Guess CF will be wheeling, dealing and going all in..
And there will be 25 page threads on the most minor of deals and 50 pages if they move JV
One way to get through a boring summer...
