First.

I'm one of the few that likes this.

First off it solidifies that Holland is indeed an idiot without a clue. Since joining the Oilers it's been a comedy of errors where he flat out admits he missed out on who he was targeting three years running now.

I can't wait for Nurse to leave. Chiarelli will officially be 1000 better than Holland and all the lemmings that actually thought Holland would be a good hire after tanking Detroit can be properly chaste.

Larsson started out absolutely terrible last year. Ended up playing very well most the year. His previous two years he was declining steeply. If rumors are to be believed due to an injured back.

The Larsson we got most his time in Edmonton is not worth 4 x 4 in a flat cap world. The only way we regret missing out on Larsson at that price is if his "back" problems are completely gone and the cap goes way up. Or Holland overpays someone else worse. The latter likely of course.

I love that the argument for bringing in Keith was that he'll perform well next to a veteran like Larsson instead of a young player where he has struggled. Yet now it appears he's playing with another young partner lol. Guess Holland isn't paid enough to do basic research before making decisions.

If Larsson is a 4x4 deal that should be seen as a massive fuk you to the oilers. What a dumpster fire.

Holland ran out of time. This isn't fair. He's calling for a mulligan.

Could have actually made an offer to Hamilton with Larsson leaving, if we don't throw away the cap space on Keith. Already shaping up to be a rough start to the year, but I'll wait and see what is still left to happen before lighting my torch and grabbing my pitchfork.

Lulz

After tonight, Seattle will likely have a better D than Van and Edm combined.

He had to be pissed that Keith was a bigger priority for Holland than he was.

Zero chance Dougie Hamilton goes to Edmonton.

Oil fans I feel your pain. Idiotic management crushes fan support …

I got Trout & Ohtani and a owner who doesn’t think pitching matters ….

At least you’ve made the playoffs…

Id guess if Holland offered to overpay Hamilton would consider it. At this point, it wouldn't be the worst move Holland made.

It's possible I suppose, but with only $11 million in space and 10 forwards under contract, even adding him at $8 million per would eliminate any chance of the team having any depth at all.

So I have this PK Subban for sale. Right side. Cost is $1 million is salary but $4.5 in cap hit. He won a Norris, is younger than Kieth. Any interest....

I believe Chiarelli and Holland's decisions have already forsaken that option. Might as well embrace the top heavy approach.

All the best to Larsson in Seattle. They've gained an excellent top 4 defender.

Sadly, that is one of the first things I thought of when I heard Larsson signed with the Kraken. Holland is going to rush out an overpay Buf for Risto (like our first+), or panic and give Barrie a 6x6 or something else stupid.

Anyone know where I can return my fan gear? I am done with this team as long as Holland and crew are involved.
